Fully agree. I updated my old iPhone 6 based on the feedback in this thread and elsewhere. So far so good. Seems slightly snappier, but definitely not any worse.

This is great news because I'm perfectly happy with my phone, and I'm on a BYOP plan that I will never relinquish so I will be buying my next phone outright (and will look at both Androids and iPhones). This allows me to defer that purchase for a while longer.

This may seem counter intuitive for Apple to "allow" my old phone to work this well, but it is all about the ecosystem these days. If my phone slowed to molasses after updating to iOS12, I might start shopping around, and it may not be Apple getting my next hardware (and thus any subsequent) dollars. But they've got me for a while longer.

Figured I'd stop at Best Buy on my way home, they didn't have any watches for sale :/ The Apple rep didn't know when the stores would be getting stock.

My old SE, my work 6s, and my daily driver 8 are all running iOS 12. Remarkable improvement on the older devices. The iPhone 8 hasn't really seemed any different, it was always fast, maybe a touch more slick.

Speaking of Best Buy, when did they move all their Apple demo products inside a cage?

Were they seriously having problems with people running off with a demo ipad or demo imac?

The 44mm cellular + GPS and 40mm GPS space grey watches are available at the Chinook Apple store.

Thanks, looking for the 40mm gold aluminum non-GPS one, with the pink band preferably. Maybe I should just order one from Apple and wait. Staples says 7-10 days but not sure if I trust that.

EDIT: Looks like Chinook has one, I just ordered one online for pickup today.

Picked up the iPhone XS on Friday. The gold finish is really awesome, definitely a better looking a gold than any other version of the iPhone. Not missing the home button at all, very intuitive gestures, this thing is great.

Love they took the time to optimize iOS12 for as many compatible phones. Overall, apps launch quicker, respond better. Some of the visual tweaks on lock screen look great, iMessage is more robust, and the Siri automation of tasks could prove great!

The screen time app is really scary, because you see how much you touch your phone and use your phone and for any device signed into iCloud. Truly remarkable to see how much time if aggregated over a lifetime goes into these devices!!!

out of stock at 3:38pm

How are they for working out, I would be paranoid about them falling out and landing on the treadmill...

I love a lot of things about the Airpods but the fit isn't one of them. Like most earbuds they don't stay in my ears very well. I bought some of these to help keep them in, but that takes away from the ease of popping them in and out of the battery case. Hopefully they do an in-ear version soon.

They're pretty much exactly the same from what I can tell.

They fit exactly the same but they don't fall out. It's definitely the wires that cause them to fall out. I can't use the normal ones unless I'm sitting still. I can take my AirPods running without any problem.

we should all have magnetic implants to keep ear buds from falling out.

I run outside with these a few times a week. I was nervous though first run but they were fine.

x3. Exercise with these has been no problem so far. No ear bud is going to fit for everybody because our ears are all different, but I've heard very few complaints from people who own them.

The MIL just got an iPhone X this Monday to replace her aging iPhone 5s. After spending some time setting it up, I gotta say, I think I could eventually get used to not having a home button.

What about using ear hooks or strap?

I've always had a problem with the Apple buds staying in during workouts. Bought a cheap pair of silicon ear hooks for my Airpods on Amazon and they work like a charm; was even able to give the second pair to my dad who has the same problem. Only trick is you have to remove them before putting the Airpods back in the case, but it's a minor inconvenience at worst.
