What Flames player should I get (suggestions)....
Like many of you out there been cleaning up in and around the house over the past few months and found a Red Flames jersey I had from the late 80's / early 90's. It is blank so thought I should go to Pro Hockey life or Cal-crest and get a name on it of a player from back in the day....but in a dilemma on who I should get!
I do like quirky players as I have a McCarty, Bertuzzi, Amonte, Huselius I recently got from people and have a Makarov from back in the day.
Initial thought was a Sheehy #5, then thought maybe go off the board with a Hull #16 (ouch), also liked Bullard #22, Roberts #10, Hunter #19 but am honestly open.
A lot of you are like me and long time fans and love talking hockey so I thought I would ask for suggestions from you on which player I should possibly go with. There might be some I never even thought of. Thanks.

If you like quirky, Al MacInnis #11, Joe Nieuwendyk #18, Brett Hull #15, Paul Henderson #19

Didn't Iggy wear 24 for some time? I could be wrong!
Most people remember him as 12.
All great suggestions though and ideas.
I remember watching Iggy as a kid and saying who the hell is 24?

Iggy wore #24 in his first couple games in the '96 playoffs, and '96-'97 regular season. Paul Kruse wore #12 at the time.

I like quirky player jerseys but I am also of the opinion getting an established player's rookie number is cheating somehow.
I know it's silly, but it's a sticking point for me.

I'd do Sheehy.

Yup absolutely go to North Star, big fan of their work. I've gotten six jerseys done there now.
As for what name to put on an '80s jersey... I'd say Gary Roberts, but if you're really looking to go less renowned, how about John Tonelli? Brian Bradley?

Loob might be too big of a player for you, but I would also look at Brad McCrimmon.

Some solid suggestions so far. If you're looking for an anti-Oilers jersey, Sheehy is a great pick. I like Tonelli as well.
Per your username, how about Perry Berezan, who was credited with the goal?
Or, if you're looking for a good foot soldier, how about Colin Patterson? Or everyone's favorite palindrome, Joel Otto?
You could also do a Brad McCrimmon tribute jersey (RIP) -- you can add the Captain's C as well.

I'd go with Bure #8 but that might have been before his time. Paul Ranheim, Robert Reichel, Rejean Lemelin, Steve Bozek, Dana Murzyn, Ron Stern could be a few others! I love it, so many retro names in this thread.
