Not to derail this into "kids these days" territory or anything, but that seems to be a huge part of the appeal. I was talking with a friend who has teenagers and he said it's fascinating. His kids have 5x the social circle he ever did, although they rarely actually meet up all that much. Kids move to different cities and countries, and it doesn't actually change a whole lot.
I'm pretty far out from being a kid, but I would say at least 40% of my social circle all hang out in the same Discord and as a result I get to chat, swap memes/pics and play games much easier than I did even 10 years ago.

The Mega Man race was good and also enjoyed Super Metroid reverse boss order.

The Mega Man X Relay Race (which I think is what Raekwon mentioned) was really good, and the Sonic 1 run was really fun.

The gaming industry would be much better without EA.

Curious, does EA have a bullet proof contract that Disney is unable to get out of for the rights to SW video games? I feel like it is one area that is not exploited as much as it could be.

SW games should be among the most popular in the world. Imagine how much fun a SW MOBA would be.

It's not like projects getting canceled is unusual...

It might be the other way too. I can imagine EA wants out of that deal as much as Disney. If you read Jason Schrier's book "Blood, Sweat and Pixels", it sounds like Disney/Lucasfilm is a huge pain to deal with as every change has to be run by them when it comes to Star Wars. Sounds like they get a big cut of profits too.

Right now the only active game is SWTOR, Bioware pulled off a lot of its talent to work on Anthem.

However OR has just released a new mini expansion leading to a major story expansion this year.

I think that the only other Star Wars game that's in the pipe is Jedi.

I remember when we'd get two or three Star Wars titles a year.

Right now the only Star Wars games I play are Forces of Corruption and SWTOR.

Still load up Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast once in a blue moon (since it's on Steam) and 1v1 people.

Would kill for a remake/sequel to that one.

I should get back to trying to finish xcom2. The load times are pretty bad on ps4 though. Hard to understand why either!

This is looking promising

Like a cross between Destiny, Mass Effect, and Iron Man. I'll wait to see how it actually fares after release before deciding given EA and BioWare's recent history, but hopefully it improves on the failure that Destiny 2 was

Correct me if I am wrong but I am fairly certain Respawn (Titanfall) is still working on their single player Star Wars game, Fallen Order.

Question about PS+. There's a bunch of free games, or discounted games if you have a PS+ membership.

If I sign up, and then let the subscription run out, do I get to keep the games, or do they get deleted off my account/PS4*

*plugged my PS4 in for the first time in about 2 years today, all my games are on an actual disc.

The free games get locked until you resubscribe.

This 87-year-old Grandma put 3500 hours into Animal Crossing:

Never really though about it, but I guess Animal Crossing is a good game for seniors.
