Default February 17 with six games.

It is Hockey Day in America for the Sunday OOT. The best game is the Blues-Wild, other than that, nothing really special.

The NBCSN feed says today is "Hockey Day in America." I had no idea there was such a thing.

*EDIT* And now I notice that Tsawassen has taken special notice of this in his OP.

Ryan O'Reilly is so good
Don't understand why the Avs and the Sabres traded him away. He is the type of player young teams should build around

The Blues looks about to dispose of the Wild. With a win they are suddenly on an eight points cushion, well in the clear with a divisional playoff spot. Talk about going on a tear. They might actually reel the Preds in if they keep it up.

So much for that bag of fat air Boudreau and his playoff guarantee.

I would love the Flames to face the Wild in the 1st round

Wild, Avs or Nucks would be great matchups plus easy travel

I knew the Blues were better than their 1st half, but wow what a turn around.

10 wins in a row once this beating is over.

On January 1st they were 15-18-4, alone in last place in the western conference and tied for last place in the entire league with Ottawa.

Since then they've gone 16-4-1 (counting today), passed 16 teams, and have a realistic shot at catching Nashville and getting home ice advantage for round 1 of the playoffs.

That's nutty.

Kind of funny how fast things can change. A couple months ago when the Sabres were in a playoff spot and the Blues were at the bottom of the league the consensus was that O'Reilly is a cancer that will destroy all playoff hopes.

Haha how does Minnesota still have a playoff spot? This is the most pathetic playoff push ever. Is the bottom half of the western conference really this horrible?

I think that losing Koivu will be the killing blow for this squad.

That would be the wrong outside perception. Everything coming from the Blues and local media is that ROR was the only player playing well from camp to now. He's the de facto captain, and there were many calls during the first 3 months to move Petro and make ROR the new captain

I still can't believe ROR was dealt out to the west and BT didn't scoop it. I can only imagine how good the Flames would be right now if you add ROR and subtract Neal, who wouldn't have been signed had they added ROR.

Treliving might think trying to get ROR is bad luck for Flames GMs.

Packed house in Florida no wonder they want Montreal and the Panthers in the same division.

1st, 2nd Tage Thompson, Sabotka and Berglund.
Flames equivalent would be something like Jankowski/Dube, Hathaway, Frolik and the picks.
I would make that trade, but it would hurt the bottom 6 depth and really hurt the current PK if it were Janko, although ROR kills penalties and is one of the best, if not the best face off man in the league

Short answer... yes.

There are 5 teams who are within 2 games of .500, all vying for that last wildcard spot. First wildcard is 5 games above, Edmonton is 5 below.

It’s a really ugly logjam of mediocrity with Min, Van, Arizona, Avs and Hawks.

Right now, supposing Dallas maintains their gap, my gut feel is that the Hawks somehow find a way.
