10 games, 8 points, maybe time for a call up?
SO who is saying that exactly?

Dube is constantly in the play and getting chances. Way more than Mangiapane did in his short stint last year (after dominating in the AHL). Way more than Jankowski is this year (after dominating in the AHL and having a decent rookie season).

Every time Wotherspoon got sent back (and did pretty well) and then got recalled, he was worse in the NHL.
So never send anyone down? Give them a first chance and if they don't succeed immediately then get rid of them for good? Sounds like a real winning strategy

Yeah, that's what I said.

No, I just think sending someone who is a pretty clear NHLer down to "get their confidence back" hasn't been demonstrated to be a sound theory.

I think you send them down if they aren't good enough to make your team, perhaps to work on specific skills that will get them back, and if they improve, fine. But who on the Flames was sent down and got his game going, then played better up here? Who in the NHL? There must be examples but I don't know of any.

He's saying the "confidence back" thing doesn't apply to Lazar.

Lazar seems to be playing as well as you'd expect a bubble guy like him to play in the AHL.

Saw Dube at the rink tonight in Cochrane. He was there to push pucks for the local Pee Wee AA team, nothing strenuous but the lights are bright and he was in his skates. He can’t be too far off.

Really good kid, still out at sticks and pucks semi regular and always has time to interact with the kids.
