Let's see some nice creative plays because a small player is able to deke through the entire defense using his insane speed and hands instead of the same player being completely ineffective because he was hooked, slashed, and dragged down with no call.

Let's see some goals because a goalie couldn't stop the puck through his person instead of the same goalie stopping the puck without even knowing because it hit him six inches away from his body on padding that has no protective reasoning.

Let's see a chance of a team coming back after being down by 2 to start the third instead of knowing they've already lost the game because of the trap or the left wing lock being implemented by the other team for the next 20 minutes.

However unless he outperforms Gaudreau on the stat sheet this season and clearly becomes the offensive straw that stirs the drink, a contract starting with an 8 or 9 would be insane. I just don't see BT giving in like that when he's had an almost perfect track record with RFA contracts up to date.

I can’t recall if it was a radio interview or print but Treliving recently called Gaudreau the best player.

That’s no dig on Tkachuk - I love his game, swagger, everything really- just thought I’d post what I heard/read the GM say.
