Ajax midfield just ran over Juventus and Real Madrid - that’s going to be an even tie.

Also makes me happy to see another Champions League failure for Pep away from Barcelona.

Guy is always gifted the deepest, most world class squads and happy he hasn’t really succeeded in CL away from Barcelona.

Well to be fair if it didnt deflect of silva, it goes to sanchez and gets launched up field

Having said that, what the flying &%#@ was he thinking, millions of spurs fans were cursing his name at the time

Yep, nice to see the shine come off him a bit, no doubt hes a great manager but he got out coached by poch in the 1st leg, and today was just.... no words

It's a lot harder to manage when you dont have the best club midfield group, maybe of all time, with messi and henry and or eto'o etc. Up front

Fair play to Spurs, they got it done.

It's possible they could go all the way. Ajax could run out of steam/karma/luck and a one-off against the likes of Barca and Liverpool suits Spurs. May God have mercy on us...

Europa needs VAR. Frankfurt scores but it should have been called offside. They did have one earlier chance called incorrectly as offside too

Frankfurt was lucky because of the offside goal, but man, what a year they've had. Unbelievably tough draws, too. Lazio, Marseille, Donezk, Inter, Benfica ... that's crazy. Compare that to Chelseas opponents and try not to laugh.

super happy for Adi Hütter. Some wanted him sacked already at the start of the season, but he's since proved that he's a top manager. Not that I doubted that, I loved him at Salzburg and he also did a great job at Young Boys too.

Austrian managers are en vogue right now. Hasenhüttl is doing really well at Southampton, Hütter really well at Frankfurt and another one (Oliver Glasner) is about to land the Wolfsburg job. Hope Peter Stöger gets back into the mix at some point as well.

It is tragic this Ajax team will get broken up. Disaster for Spurs, they set up to park the bus, so do they come out of it and try to score, knowing they'll be exposed? Those bench options are ugly though, so might have to ride out the bus.

yeah, damn shame. They are a treat to watch, and really, the score is flattering Spurs. Ajax are ripping them apart.

Yeah this is grim for Spurs. Ajax is just faster and better all around.

That was idiotic to even consider putting Vertonghen back out there.

Hate that.
Great quick free kick. Nothing illegal about it except the ref wasn't ready.

I think Spurs will come back in this. They’re generating a few looks now and it’s certainly more positive than how it started. I was hoping for a clean sheet, but if they can at least get a draw they’ll be in good shape.

Well considering how it started not a terrible result for Spurs, but hopefully Ajax get to the final. They deserve it.
