Zach Plesac got DFA'd by Cleveland...let him get shellacked and put Manoah in the minors for a stint.

He needs to stop taking Cypress Hill's advice about dieting.

Out at a cabin with my lady til tomorrow...thought we would drive 25 minutes to the nearest pub and watch the Jay's.

Thank jeebus the hockey game is on as well .

Manoah has to be sent to the pen. He is literally costing the club in a way they cannot afford. Some one else can come up into the rotation and at least provide palatable innings. Manoah simply xant right now.

No I don’t find swearing at players in meaningless mid June games to be fun. He’s be likeable if he’d show even a thread of humility. I’d hate him if he was on a rival. And no he can’t go to the pen he has no control. They need to demote him and let him figure things out at the dev complex.

Wow, just looked at the box score. Manoah is cooked.

0.1 IP??

It's really time to send him down. What a fall from grace.

I didn't watch the game but fans booing him is a sure sign management has to do something. It's a confidence killer, and I'm sure it's the fans not necessarily booing him, but booing idiot management for not making the call sooner. This was the final straw. They have to put him in the minors or in the bullpen, but he can't be starting until it's sorted. Tough noogies.

He needs to be sent down with a fitness and nutritional plan, a goal weight and a plan to adapt to the pitch clock.

The reality of Bass is despite how much I despise his views well I also lived in Texas for 15 years. That view is not a minority there. Blue jays are probably being a bit gutless here but they are trying to make sure that them DFAing Bass is because he’s a crappy pitcher and not because he’s a crappy human. They likely are fearing that releasing him for that video will hurt their ability to acquire FAs. It’s not quite like Osuna where I think they could be more decisive.

Just saw the boxscore. It make me sad for the guy. There's an elite pitcher in there somewhere, but he hasn't shown up this year. Just a brutal situation all around.

Meh, I disagree with letting him go based on his tweet. He didn't explicitly say anything himself and he attempted to apologize. If he falters in his main responsibility, dump him. That goes with anyone who spends their days on social media.

Nah, it's clearly mental with him this season. It's like me when I'm having a terrible round of golf and my swing is all over the map......you know it's going to be a bad shot, you just hope it's not too terrible.

Not a good way to play golf, or pitch, or whatever. Need to get that head on straight.

Don't get why they have to play Mayza.
Put in a position player. This game is out of reach and this is only 1/7 games in the next 7 days.

Yeah, it might be mental now but it was definitely not at the start.

They changed the rules to be more restrictive. https://www.prosportsfanatics.com/ml...ing?format=amp

Under the new guidelines leading teams must be up by 10 or more runs in the ninth inning to let a position player pitch, while the trailing team can use a position player any time they are down by eight or more runs. Position players are also allowed to pitch anytime in extra innings.

They need to let Houston score one here to put a position player in.
