The A's are 10-42 entering play tonight.

Legitimate shot at worse than the 1962 Mets (40-120-1).

Every single time Sokroka's name comes up I can't help but think of idiot Bud Selig and his role in the Mike Sirotka deal. Had so much promise only to be injured with Selig being shady. Come to think of it, so many commish's are shady.
David Stern=Roger Goodell<Bud Selig. I wouldn't particularly put Bettman there as he's overall not been too controversial except for the non admission to concussions (probably for compensatory purposes...but he's weeding it out with skill).

It's been 1,029 days Michael Soroka stepped on a big league mound.

He has a very favorable matchup tonight against Oakland for his first start back.

Started the game with four shutout innings before giving up a 3-run HR in the fifth. Ended up going 6.0 IP with 4 ER. Welcome back.

Intentional walks suck in general, but as a ticket buying fan it sort of felt like getting cheated out of watching Ohtani bat. The Twins starter pitched well but had thrown a lot of pitches by the time Ohtani came up in the fifth, so the decision was probably reasonable, but as a fan you want to see him play.
As a fan I would prefer the game to move forward then waste my time watching intentional walks.

Grant Anderson made his MLB debut for the Rangers last night in Detroit.

Coming out of the bullpen he struck out 7 of 8 including the first 4 batters he faced, picking up the win.

Impressive start, especially given how bad the Rangers bullpen has been.

Jake Burger’s walk-off grand slam gives Liam Hendriks his first win back since beating cancer on National Cancer Survivors Day. Awesome stuff!

I'd probably rate it the opposite, but it sounds like a decent list.

Jacob deGrom is going to go down as one of the biggest 'What if' stories in baseball history. At his peak he was pretty much as good as any pitcher ever

As Canada's only Rangers fan, I'm sad that he's out for the next 12-15 months. That said, his presence brought the ability to basically sign a brand new rotation, which hasn't missed a beat with DeGrom out of the lineup.

Elly De La Cruz just cranked his first MLB homerun and it was a moonshot. This kid is going to be incredible.
