After a game like this you wish they’d committed to a rebuild after this offseason.. yikes.

with Wolf ripening for 2-3 years from now and a few high picks from elite pools of talent they would've put it together in relatively short order I think too

####ing ownership and their desperation for 2-3 games of playoff revenue

Well it was fun being a "once in awhile" playoff team for a few years there.

I get the feeling this team is on the cusp of another young guns era. Not good enough to make the playoffs, and managed by people who won't shut up about "never quit" and "workboots and lunchboxes." People who will absolutely refuse to draft anywhere higher than 16th, and draft nothing but hulking, untalented WHL defencemen and centers for the next decade. And of course the undersized guy we accidentally draft who just doesn't fit the culture of the organization, because he actually has talent, so we literally cut him from the team and then watch him go on to win a Hart, Pearson, Art Ross, Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup on his way to the HHoF.

I mean we already have the jerseys for it. Might as well just go full r****d and get it over with.

Don’t think that was ever a possibility. Not in the DNA of ownership or management. And Darryl would have no part of it.

Kinda sucks. And even if you are CHI or COL there’s no guarantee you are getting Bedard. Chances for the last place team are what 16% max?

Everyone talks like tanking would mean Bedard is a certainty when it’s really still a pipe dream even for the bottom feeders.

Did anyone else think that looked like a “let’s get the coach fired” game? Looked pretty obvious to me. Every team has a real stinker now and then but this one seemed like a new low as far as effort and give a damn goes. Really pathetic in all aspects. I feel bad for the fans who had to suffer through that. It was like getting a root canal while being water boarded.

Florida doesn't have any more 1st round picks but Huby and Weegar could have been flipped to other teams in the offseason for big returns considering their great years last season and their sweetheart contracts this year.

I can get on board with that. I was one of the guys that wanted to see major change. Watching them struggle still ####ing sucks no matter what.

Last year a few on the TSN panel picked the Flames to win the cup.

You are not going from there to a plan during the summer to tank for a chance at first overall.

If there is one positve its that Huberdeau-Kadri-Pelletier looked like it could work.

4:12 in the third
91.7 xGF
4HDCF and 0HDCA is pretty good for limited time.

Hope it sticks for tomorrow

take two 100 point players/two-thirds of a top line off any team and you can scratch their chances at a cup right then and there

Enough to be accepted by Federal Energy regulators.

It is what is what is.

Tanev or not the team just isn't good enough and this should be a good indicator to Treliving to sit still. Ride out the season they can battle to try and make the playoffs or miss and try and retool in the summer. They can't get a streak going to gain points or put distance on teams.

Poor goaltending at times poor coaching at times a lot of under performance across the board has done us in.

4 minutes when down by 3 goals is pretty meaningless.
