I think he's right about Wilson though.

Wilson has never been in the Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes tier of QB.

But he sure does like to pretend and act like he is.

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna take the L on my preseason Russ love. He's closer to the Dak/Cousins tier, IMO.

I know everyone is piling on the Broncos (as a Raiders fan this never gets old) but the biggest thing to me that stood out was just how washed Matty Ice is. I thought Rivers arm strength was poor at the end but anything Ryan threw over 10 yards just kind of fluttered in the air taking it's time to get to its destination. The reason he's hanging around in the pocket forever is that he can't hit tight windows and needs his receiver to be wide open.

Yeah he's had some really great seasons for sure, but I don't think he's ever really had the ability to singled handedly take over a game like Mahomes, Brady, or Rodgers

I also feel like there may have been times in Seattle where he was more focused on his personal numbers / status than he was on team success.

Yeah and he's an absolute statue. At least Rivers could still sense things and move around the pocket. Ryan moves slow, and throws slower. I don't know how Ehlinger could be worse. At least he can run and move.

Hindsight and all of that, but they probably should have gone for Mariota. At least a running QB can give you something even with a terrible line. Although it's quite funny every week now to see Ryan turtling every time the rush gets home.

I hear ya, I was really hoping he'd go to the Saints. His idol was Brees growing up, it just seemed right. As bad as this season has already been for New Orleans, it'd be even worse being stuck with that contract. Bullet dodged for once this season it seems..

But giving him that contract is probably a mistake other teams would have avoided. This year, had it been a contract year for him, would have forced him to be really motivated to get that massive extension, in Denver or elsewhere. Now he's got $165 million guaranteed, so where's the motivation coming from?

Yeah that's a good point actually. I just have a feeling lack of motivation isn't the only issue with Russ so far this year..

As a Broncos fan, I sure wish we had some Daniel Jones-level play from Wilson so far this season.

Definitely didn't think I'd be saying that at week 5!

The Giants might not win today, but they play differently for Daboll. They don't play like losers anymore.

Jones cutting down on the disastrous turnovers has been a big part of his improved play. Packers, on the other hand, desperately miss Adams, Lazard is not a true #1, they really don't have anyone who can consistently get separation. You wonder if they try and see whats out there for a trade.

NFC Least? Eagles 4-0, Giants 4-1? Cowboys 3-1

The "vaunted" Packer defense is at it again...jeezuz i am so tired of that narrative.

Average at best.

game isnt over but, again, they put everything on Rodgers shoulders and he just doesnt have the outside WR help to do much of anything.

If I am Dabboll and crew, i bring the heat consistently. Just no one able to get open and pose a real threat.

I still don't know if I'd say the Giants are a great team or anything, but Syl is spot on when he says they aren't a joke anymore like they were under Judge, you'll have to actually show up and play well to beat them instead of just showing up. In the NFC though, they are looking like a playoff team.
