As an Eagles fan, I had a great time watching Tom Brady the last time he played a neutral site game in Minneapolis.

As a chargers fan, i have clearly given up hope as this poverty franchise will never win even with a damn good QB. Just think back to the Marlon Mcree play, if they couldnt win that year, there is no hope.

Los Angeles Chargers star LB Joey Bosa to have surgery, go on IR
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-surgery-go-ir
Maybe it's me but it seems like as the years go by it seems like the frequency of injuries is increasing. The Chargers aren't alone with all these injuries.

That might be the end of the line for Bosa.

It was his brother who tore his ACL not him.

Tearing your groin to the point it requires surgery in your 7th season is not a trivial injury.
I will be surprised if he comes back from this and regains his form.

The Sterling Sheppard one on Monday night looked like the end of him. Seemed like everyone on the field knew it too.

I have noticed some really poor looking fields. FedEx Field looked like utter dog#### last week.

I don't know how much is turf and how much is the fact that we are reaching the limits of peak human performance in a contact sport and the human body is being pushed to the very edge. The first thing fans look for after the weekend is the injury report because teams lose so many players over the course of a game now. They have made training camp non-contact now and starters don't even play in the preseason and it hasn't changed anything.

we can talk about other reasons for injuries for sure, but looking at the Shepard one it's hard to blame anything else but the turf there.
as for player safety in general, I'm still shocked Tua was allowed to go back in.

Have any medical experts chimed in to say that a player could wobble around like that because of a back injury? As a person that's watched a lot of MMA that sure looked like a dude that got his bell rung.

I had my back cease up on me about 5 years ago. I likely looked a lot like Tua except that I was holding a 2 year old and trying to avoid having the toddler suffer a concussion.
So the way he stumbled..I can see. But I was pretty immobile for like 2 hours and about 24 until I could move normally. I'm no medical expert..and thats the only time I had my back cease up...but him being able to go that quick after having his back cease up seems off.
I had the Herbert rib cartilage injury last year. That explains a play where he just threw it away when it looked like he could run for a first down easy. This one...not so much.

Same. I am by no means a medical expert and it sure looked like a concussion to me, but I have had time where I take a step and something gives in my back, hip, knee etc. and there is a momentary stumble. Tua appeared to walk okay, had one wobble, then back to a normal walk. So maybe it was something else (or in addition to).
