Good for Lawler. Hate to lose him but 300k for a receiver is too much for the Bombers cap space

Bombers replace Lawler with Ellingson.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have agreed to terms with receiver Greg Ellingson, per sources.

The 33-year-old has five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons on his resume and during the shortened 2021 season had 47 receptions for 687 yards and one touchdown in 10 games while earning $135,000 prorated.

Ryan Ballantine

@BBCANRyan

No confirmation yet, but with his limited remaining budget, I believe that Huf is deciding between a Quarter Pounder with cheese combo, or a McChicken meal. #CFLFreeAgency #CFLFA #CalStampeders

I had high hopes for Mayala, but he just never panned out. Hopefully Huff can land one of the Philpot brothers in an upcoming draft.

Losing Amos hurts, but you can't keep everyone and with Roberson and Wilson signed, Amos was the odd man out. Not surprised Stamps East scooped him up.

I believe Amos sat when Roberson was brought back last season so the writing was on the wall.

The Argos have also signed Ja'Gared Davis who has yet to miss appearing in the Grey Cup game during his CFL career.

Hope that streak ends. If a team quarterbacked by Bethel-Thompson makes the Grey Cup I'm going to assume another down year for the CFL.

Hopefully Lemon has learned from his mistake in the WSF. One of the truly boneheaded moves in Stampeders playoff history by an individual player. He needs to be far better than that in the future.

Yeah, it wasn't the only reason the Stamps lost that game, but it certainly provided a big lift to the Riders when they were looking down and out.

Something's gotta give here...

The Montreal Alouettes have signed veteran quarterback Trevor Harris to a one-year contract for the 2022 season, per sources.

Head coach Khari Jones now has a quarterback room that includes Vernon Adams Jr., Dominique Davis and Harris.

Maybe the most under rated player in the league...just a beast.

Not much to give. Harris is at best a backup at this point and Davis sucks and will become a training camp casualty.
