People actually want to see a SCF featuring the most boring team in hockey?

I mean, the Habs might actually give them a run for their money on that front, so maybe we can have both of them trying to out-do each other in getting a 2-1 win.

The Lightning are a bunch of cheaters, but at least they play entertaining hockey.

I'd like to see the Cup awarded in the Nassau Coliseum in its final game, so they need to win this for that to happen.

The Islanders are boring?? Have you actually watched them the last 3 weeks?

Only the Avs have averaged more GF and of teams still alive no one has averaged more GA.

The islanders play high event hockey, but they also play the game in a very hard and heavy fashion.

Not sure what else it takes to be be considered entertaining. Is it lack of "big names"?

Serious question, how did the Islanders get so good? It feels like a couple of years ago they were tearing down the team and staring at a long rebuild.

Cheering for the Isles but I think Tampa wins this easily in 5. They look unstoppable right now with no weaknesses in their game

Reinhart --> Barzal didn't hurt either.

Trotz and Lou are just very, very good at their jobs.

Bringing in a legit coach and starting goalie always helps.

They also traded a ton of futures to add some impact players like Pageau and Palmieri.

When they lost Tavares, yes? That was 2018, so let's see who they still have from that team and who they lost.

Kept (organized by top 20 point production):

Barzal
Bailey
Eberle
Nelson
Leddy
Beauvillier
Lee (injured)
Pulock
Cizikas
Pelech
*Martin (left and came back)
Clutterbuck
Hickey

Lost

Tavares
Ladd (minors-buried)
de Haan
Boychuk (LTIR)
Chimera

Added

Pageau
Wahlstrom
Mayfield
Dobson
Palmieri
Zajac
Coburn

Upgraded in net from Halak and Greiss to Varlamov and Sorokin.

Signed Barry Trotz

Honestly, it's mostly the same team with a few key changes, mostly at coach and in net.
