8 movies in 2021 and 12 in 2022. That is an insane work schedule.

He also came out with an entire trilogy of "Detective Knight" films though 2022/23.

I'm reviewing his filmography now....even when he was making successful movies in the late 2000s and dearly 2010s he was still making these direct to video action movies. He was also apparently paid a nine figure salary for those M. Night Shyamalan movies.

It sounds like he just really likes making crappy action films, illness or not.

I'd watched one of his recent ones - Hard Kill, it was terrible. He's barely in it, just playing a guy who hires mercenaries to rescue his kidnapped daughter. So most of his scenes are just him on the phone directing the mercs. Essentially in most of these things, Willis was just getting hired to sit on set and recite some lines so they could add him and his name to the poster.

It's pretty baffling....He's worth north of $200 million, but needs to make another $20 million making DTV B movies?

Well there were stories at the time this news came out that he was basically being used by the people around him, that they'd sign him up to these things and wheel him out on set so that they could make a quick buck.
