I'm always impressed by any place that has a Yelp rating greater than 3. But for the most part I ignore Yelp, it's mostly useless.

Yelp is a bit outdated. Google reviews aren't, though. They're front and centre when you Google a business (obviously).

Yeah on Google having a 3.x star rating means you might be in for a bad time. Or you're going to a Chinese restaurant.

For google reviews, just do what every car dealer does in town and buy fake 5 star reviews in bulk

The day we figure out Sliver's business name is going to be spicy.

I promise to give him a genuine 4.5 star review if he lets me take a tour on Friday afternoon.

Saw a gripe in the gear grinders thread, but what I really miss is Robin's Donuts. They were scattered around and not too hard to find, and the coffee and donuts were really good. Light and fluffy pastry. And then they were pushed out by Tim Hortons, or possibly bad corporate management.

I don't know anywhere in the northwest that bakes a decent donut anymore. And Safeway is only good when compared to TH. It's not that good.

Anyone else grow up in Mount Pleasent, Tuxedo Park, Balmoral etc etc with fond childhood memories of the Dairy Queen? Well, treasure them, it burnt to the ground this evening.

Wow. When I was a kid, we would go there before our music lessons every week and get a small shake.
