Kart Gardens.

I spent a good portion of many summers there. Often I would need to take the bus to 32nd and walk the rest of the way.

Yep, I could have swore I smelled the chicken getting off the bus a couple days ago. No idea if it was from there or not, because there are a couple restaurants right close.

Anyone know for sure if it open? (or a opening date?)

Funny dream - in my dream, I recalled the name "Dale Harney". When I woke up, I remembered he did a local magic show on TV. I did a search, and this thread came up in the top 5. Amazing!

Walking to the 7-11 on Fairmount Drive & 99 AVE with a note from my mom to buy a pack of Number 7s for her and my dad. And keeping the change to buy a comic and a Wig Wag

In elementary school we used to have a field trip to the "Fine Arts Center" where we spent the day taking music, drama and art class. I can't for the life of me remember the school name, anyone have any ideas??

Loved that track. Was involved (still am) with the Calgary Kart Racing Club when we used to rent the fast track on Sunday's for our races. The best part was as a club member, you could buy a day pass for 15(?) dollars on any day and bring your race kart on to the track to practice while they had rentals on at the same time. The speed and handling differential was naturally quite big, and we would just rip past left right and center, leaving them disorientated and with a mouth full of dust. "Buzzing the rentals" is what we called it

Not a chance that could ever happen nowadays.

Kart Gardens International. As if that was going to bring the F1 or LeMans crowd in.

Remember when the Chicken on the Way logo used to be a lot more racist?
