companies like that who monopolize the scene ruin everything fun and good in the world . "dynamic pricing" .. eat **** . young people and those not well off should be able to enjoy their favourite artists live also . we were granted that as kids . so should people today

Yeah, even those seats that I posted here that a few CP'ers got in on were $200 with fees and a few hours later after a few sold were already upped to $220. So stupid.

Yeah, the Pearl Jam/Ticketmaster thing was 27 years ago, not 10 years. Just a bit off, ha!

Always respected them for that, Ticketmaster are scum.

Also - What do you guys use for your concert tracking? I had no idea Pet Shop Boys / New Order playing in Vancouver. Also missed a couple good shows this past summer.

I use an app called bandsintown.

It lets you track favourites and will send you notifications when they’re in town. I assume you can set distance markers if you want to know if they’re in a nearby city.

Our daughter turns 10 on November 8th and we got her Bryan Adams tickets as part of her bday present for his concert the next night. She's a bit all over the map musically but loves her some good 80's/90's/classic rock - Bon Jovi, Journey, Bryan Adams. It'll be her first real concert so she'll be thrilled. I saw him a couple times in the early-mid 90's and he was always great, though I don't expect the same energy levels now.

A few of us are going to the Halloween Howler tonight at the Grey Eagle. Steel Panther is headlining lol! We are throwing on 80s costumes and plan on making a mockery of our youth.

https://www.ticketnews.com/2022/10/n...-ticketmaster/

A new campaign launched this week is calling on federal regulators to break up Ticketmaster and Live Nation, which merged in 2010, arguing that the combined company abuses its market power.

Weird dynamic in the Blink 182 situation and it appears that Mark's cancer really was the catalyst for reforming. You have Mark and Travis who were in Blink with Matt for 6 years and 2 two albums barely mentioning anything publicly about him and according to Matt not communicating with him privately either.

It turns out that Matt says they actually had basically a full album almost completed (Matt has all the songs in his possession) before Mark's cancer diagnoses, but then after they basically just cut him out without any words spoken.

To be honest after hearing their last album (NINE) I wouldn't surprised if it just wasn't that great and the original members were excited to get going again and make true Blink music for the first time in almost 10 years.

there are probably things we don't know about that went on behind the scenes .. maybe issues with skiba .. he wasn't looking very healthy compared to when they got together in 2016 . don't know if he was abusing substances possibly , and his writing was certainly hinting at the issue of addiction

doesn't seem like hoppus at all to cut out someone that was willing and able to contribute

I'm still fairly new to CP but does your band have a youtube page?

I don't have any connections but a high school friend of mine his old band used to get the odd show at the Blind Beggar (rip)

You could phone the Firehouse pub and grill in Langdon. They have a decent stage there and open jam Sundays. But you can also just say you're a band and they'll let you play a mini set in amongst the open jam night.

Blink charging around $250 for a dance floor ticket. I think they've sold out three or four shows here in Sydney.
