We trade Hamilton and angry N-E-B gets very very drunk watching the draft. One of those things is happening for sure.

Going to predict Hamilton getting dealt. Too much smoke for me.
Going to guess something around him and Mark Stone. Sens will want a young top pairing RHD to replace Karlsson as he will also be dealt.
Flames are confident in Rasmus eventually growing into that role Dougie now has, so are ok moving Dougie to bolster the forward group.

Two trades.
Flames trade Hamilton and a prospect to Arizona for pick #5, Christian Fischer, and Alex Goligoski.
Trade #2. Flames trade TJ Brodie to the NYR for Kevin Hayes.

Depending on the prospect, I like that.
Not sure if you want to trade Hamilton and Brodie. But what else gets Kevin done?

Flames acquire a 1st round pick minutes before the draft. It gets announced. The CP Collective goes crazy.
Minutes later that pick gets flipped for a valuable roster player. Pandemonium ensues.
Days later CP members argue how good the trades were. Nobody can agree.

How did the annual draft prediction threads go again? Oh well, I'll take a stab.
League:
1.) Who makes the #1 pick Sabres
2.) Who is selected with the #1 pick Dahlin
3.) First forward selected Svechnikov
4.) First defenceman selected Dahlin
5.) First goalie selected Rodrigue
6.) First N.American selected Tkachuk
7.) First European selected Dahlin
8.) First big trade? (2-3 teams) Golden Knights / Ottawa Senators
9.) Who/what got traded? Erik Karlsson
9.) Last player in the draft? Eric Engstrand
Flames:
1.) Do we obtain a 1st? If yes, who did we trade? No
2.) 2nd? If yes, who did we trade? No
3.) 3rd? If yes, who did we trade? No
4.) Roster player? (who for, what did we give)? T.J. Brodie for Max Pacioretty
5.) First Flames selection? Krystof Hrabik
6.) Last Flames selection? Lucas Johansson
7.) First forward we pick? Krystof Hrabik
8.) First defenceman we pick? Sean Comrie

Alternate prediction:
Flames use Hamilton to get a pick high enough to snag Brady Tkachuk. I could really see that happening if they believe Brady can enter the league and contribute right away just like his bro did. I can also see them not afraid to deal Dougie if they believe Rasmus (like i said above) is going to make a seamless transition to the NHL. Rasmus was a beats last year in the AHL. One of the best Dmen in the league at just 21 years old.

I think it is exceedingly doubtful that Brady Tkachuk will be ready to play NHL games in 2018–19. The last player drafted out of Hockey-East to successfully make the leap straight from College was Jack Eichel, and he scored 26 goals and 71 points in his draft year. Tkachuk has scored 8 and 31, and was fourth in scoring at BU this past season.
I fully expect Tkachuk to play his sophomore year in the NCAA.
