Teams have 4 non emergency call ups after the trade deadline.

The Flames have used two. One for Hathaway and one just recently for Ortio.

Ortio was originally called up on an emergency basis, but because of the addition of Backstrom, he had to be converted to a regular recall or sent back down.

They have two non emergency recalls left.

However, they have unlimited emergency recalls and are only carrying 20 healthy bodies now, so any "day to day" injury that keeps a guy out of the line up will result in someone being emergency recalled to replace him.

Players needing an RFA contract next year (not already with the team), and the Flames possibly wanting to see their developmental level in relation to the NHL :

Agostino
Shore
Grant
Arnold
Hamilton
Van Brabant
Poulin
Elson

I think that Grant and Poulin have done enough to warrant another set of 2 way contracts. Hamilton has the track record to offer one as well. The two call-ups would be between Agostino, Shore and Arnold, IMO. Perhaps bring up two and the third is the first emergency?

Hathaway was not an emergency call up. You cannot create an emergency situation by trading a player away (Jones). So Hathaway's recall is a regular recall.

Ortio and Hathaway are 2 regular recalls. Wotherspoon is currently up on an emergency recall. We have 2 regular recalls left for the rest of the season.

Grant is actually going to be an UFA due to group 6 status and having not played enough NHL games. Hopefully we re-sign him before that happens.

Yeah I think Hathaway was called up before the deadline. Unless they paper transactioned him so he could be eligible for the AHL playoffs. Then that'd be 3 of 4 used up. Unless calling a guy up from the ECHL doesn't count..

sureLoss posted in the Stockton thread that Wotherspoon and Ortio were "paper" transactioned, whereas Nakladal was not.

Hathaway was called up after the fact so he is also eligible to play for Stockton.

Nakladal is here to stay as he cannot be assigned to the AHL again this season.

True, but first he was called up because of Nakladal's injury. Now that Nakladal can play suddenly Engelland is day to day.
