Air Canada doesn't utilize charter aircraft on these flights. They have 3 767-300's that they did not upgrade to their XM interior with seat back tv's and pods in business class. You still get movies and such on the overhead tv's, not as good as seatback but better than nothing.

However sometimes due to maintenance or a mechanical issue they will sub in one of the upgraded planes, this just happened last night when my parents flew back from HNL.

As mentioned already that is the new Bombardier Q400, and is the most "jet like" turboprop out there. Might as well get used to them, since Westjet will probably be ordering them for their regional airline.

Oh yeah it's definitely not terrible unless you're jumpy with turbulence like I am. And he said he's traveling with kids, and I can see kids hating it.

Wardair all the way.....aww never mind.

I was just telling a guy at work today the first time I ever flew in a plane.....to Hawaii on a decked out, first class service, Wardair 747. It was all downhill after that.

Holy crap dude. I just came back from Hawaii this morning. Flight left at 7:55pm HST from Honolulu, arrived at 5:25am Calgary time. Felt weird leaving in the night and arriving in the morning. Almost as if I skipped a day.
