Hilarious.

Bruce Arthur ‏@bruce_arthur 24m
Like, you bite someone, and then fall to the ground all but yelling "OW MY TEETH"? That is next level trolling.

There's probably a separate cricket thread somewhere, but I thought you should all know that England just lost to Sri Lanka off the penultimate ball of the entire game, after 5 days of play.

This is why I cant give soccer the respect it should hold. The diving and theatrics is absurd.

Man up and play the game.

So I guess the people from Uruguay do take out their frustration with others by biting them. This isn't quite the Zidane headbutt but it's as close as you'll get.

Cool story.
Do you say that same thing about hockey when you watch Burrows?

I agree that compared to hockey (Canucks excepted) there is an issue with a few players acting, but you can't tar all footballers with same brush.

What kind of message does it send to not kick him out of the tournament now? He has to be gone.

I am not talking just about biting.

I have been trying to watch as much of this world cup as possible and the theatrics and rolling around like the guy was shot by a sniper in the 50th row is out of this world. Getting carted off the field by a stretcher after getting hit in the shin or plain old falling down hard on the grass??? Guys covering their face because they are in "absolute agony".

Need any more examples?

Sorry there is no comparison to hockey here.

I just saw it.

Oh yeah. I'd say his World Cup is done. At the very least.

Unreal.

Wow Suarez...unbelievable. What a complete moron. I agree he should be out of the tournament, and his "repaired" reputation should be in shambles now.

Once the physios are called onto the pitch, the stretchers automatically come on at the same time so that the player can be removed as quickly as possible.

The player must then leave the pitch before he is allowed back on.

Admittedly football players aren't as tough as hockey players, but these are FIFA rules.

...and empty machismo is why so many people find it hard to respect hockey as a sport.

If it bothers you so much, just don't watch.
