Nice to see the next (last?) season of A Series of Unfortunate Events come up tomorrow. I have really enjoyed them up to now.

Has anyone watched the Watership Down series?

Just the first episode, at this point I'd say give it a go. Decent animation, the water guy needs a raise, he is the star. I barely remember the story, so it's kind of new to me again.

Cohen brothers have a collection of western shorts out called 'ballad of buster scruggs'. Didn't see that one coming! Highly recommended

Do they all still die at the end?

I'm watching the very first episode of Ozark. It's dumb. I don't like it. Loved Breaking Bad.

Does this show get better?

Ozark is great. It’s quirky but I’m hooked now. I never could get into Breaking Bad however.

It's excellent, especially once you hit season 2. Bateman's miss at the beginning was spending way too much time breaking in the characters with drawn out scenes that ran on while trying force viewer connections with everyone, which would have happened seamlessly by 5 or 6 episodes anyways.

Yeah, it's great. The first episode felt pretty uneventful but it ended up being one of my favourite Netflix shows. I love Breaking Bad as well. It's as good as Bloodline if you've watched that one.

Love the voice cast, but I don't think I'll be watching more than the first episode myself.

The animation is basically 2003-era videogame pre-rendered cutscene quality; I've literally seen better lip syncing and character design in 2018 live-rendered stuff than on this show.

Really really cuts into the immersion of the show.

Ozark caught me right away and I felt it got better. Chilling and visceral at times, and the characters are the best part of the show.

Give it another couple episodes, but every show isn't for everyone. I still can't power my way through to the end of The Wire, and I gave it 3 seasons.

Troy : Fall of a City is so good. I'm two episodes in and it's fantastic.

I thought it went steadily downhill and gave up after 4-5 episodes. Lots of potential but I couldn't get past the terrible acting.

I'm watching the Ranch right now, I thought I would give it a shot. Its a fun little show and Elliot and Winger are a national treasure.

What makes it awkward to watch is Danny Masterson who plays a sexual dirtbag who's obsessed with high school girls, who was fired due to rape allegations.

Also was shocked to see an almost unrecognizable Aimee Teegarden from Friday Night Lights playing a trailer trash girl.

I started watching Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency the other night, i was always a big fan of Douglas Adams and his books. I'm only on about the 6th episode right now but its fun with some dark humor and good twists.

Definitely recommend it, i think there is only 2 seasons...

Season 1 is great, I could only make it through a couple episodes of season 2, just wasn't as good.

Based on recommendations of this thread I watched Sick Note with Rupert Grint and Nick Frost.

It's totally ####ed up and quite funny. Most of the plotlines are totally absurd and all the character's reactions to their life situations are bizarre but the show pulls it off quite well because everyone seems to be equally crazy.

Agreed Season 2 of Dirk Gently was a downgrade from Season 1 but I still found it enjoyable with a fulfilling conclusion. It was disappointing to see this cancelled.

So I just watched (or is it played?) Bandersnatch. That was interesting. I had fun with it for a while and appreciate the creativity but overall was not fulfilled. It kind of occupied a strange space where it was asking for too much effort from me as a TV episode but it was not interactive enough to be considered a video game. Also if I was comparing the story to other Black Mirror episodes it would be one of the lesser ones.

Hit and Miss for me. Would have preferred this to be presented in episode by episode format like a show and could have had even more episodes.

Didn't make sense to watch it all in one go which ends up around 2.5 hours.
