Lots of interest via PMs
I apologize if I don’t respond to everyone, currently have a tentative winner just giving them time to respond.

Lots of very kind people, just about everyone says “if you feel someone deserves them more give to them” which shows how awesome people are on here. I wish I had some for everyone

Thanks again for all your interest, glad someone here will get to go!

This is really cool and I can’t thank Royle9 enough.

Kinda corny but I’d like to mention why I donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. When my cousin was about 11 or 12 he was diagnosed with a rather large tumour in his midsection. He’s from Regina and his family couldn’t afford to take time off work every time he had to come to Calgary for treatment so he would often stay at my family’s house. He’d come to town regularly for quite a few years. I remember he always used to get these Glucagon (I think) shots that made him sick. Although that never stopped my Calgary cousin and I from making him come out to the pub with us (when he was legal).

Anyways, the point of all this is that they are the reason we got to hang out. Still get to hang out. He doesn’t have to come for treatment anymore, he’s doing better. They saved his life. More than once. He’s now in his mid 20s alive and well.

Actually now that I think about it, I didn’t donate nearly enough. They do great things there.
