What I love about Rick and Morty is the huge sci-fi themes it takes on in such a small form. Each episode could be a pretty epic movie if taken seriously. If Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland ever took on a serious sci-fi movie or series, with comedic elements instead of the entire focus, it could be pretty epic.

I actually don't think they'd have the self restraint to not go into insane wacky territory with it

But how fun would that be in a non-cartoon format?

I liked the episode, I'm just at a loss as to why it was titled Rattlestar Ricklactica (outside of a rattlesnake pun I guess?)

I saw so many comments from you guys saying WTF and how crazy this season has been, I was skeptical. We have already seen some pretty crazy scenarios so how much crazier could it be?

But wow. You guys weren't exaggerating! This is just nuts. I ####in love it!

Battlestar Galactica....with rattle snakes and Rick. Doesn't have too much actually in common with Battlestar Galactica. Although I guess in the original BG, the cylons were actually left over from a long extinct reptilian race that created them. Snakes are reptiles?

I was in tears during the snake scenes, they need to make a full movie with snakes, no subtitles, an epic war drama with only hissing.

The snake episode is easily the most absurd episode they've ever done, minus the two interdimensional cable episodes. Hilarious stuff.

I felt that way when I watching it, then I remembered slut dragons ####ing woolly mammoths just a week ago and I'm not so sure.

This might be unpopular, but I really think the first 2 seasons were the best.

I agree with that as well for the most part, Season 3 was really strong as well.

Not to say Season 4 is unsatisfactory or anything, but its almost as if they're trying a little too hard to seem like they're not trying.

Its a little out there.

To fill the time before the next 5 episodes, I highly recommend watching the saga of "Lemongrab" (voiced by Justin Roiland) on Adventure Time.

https://adventuretime.fandom.com/wiki/Earl_of_Lemongrab - scroll down to 'major appearances' to see the episodes he's strongly featured in.

The first episode "Too Young" is good but not great...even if you don't love it push through to the next one - it should hook you to follow Lemongrab's amazing character arc through the other episodes! The last few episodes he's in are also a little...different (highly entertaining, just not the additional character development for Lemongrab that I was yearning for).

A new series from Justin Roiland is coming in May...

Hulu in the States means it could show up anywhere (or nowhere) in Canada.
