Confused me there for a second but wow. I liked the original but this is so much better. What a cool idea to go back and sort of redo a song like that.

Video dropping on Thursday for Rammstein’s new single/upcoming album. It’s been 10 years! My all-time favourite band.

Extremely stoked.

going to see Jinjer in July. Well, TesseracT actually, with Jinjer being support ... but I'm way more stoked about them. That chick is just awesome, can't wait to hear them live.

If you don't own a copy of Songs For The Dead you should.

The boys are finally back, and not without a share of controversy as usual. The video and song are a commentary on Germany and its history to the modern day (including elements relating to WW2/Nazism/holocaust).

Really enjoying it, and glad to finally have some more Rammstein after a decade.

they are so good at what they are doing. You just know that the German media will go crazy over this.

Yep. It seems that the media is already all over it stateside as well. Most are seemingly just going by the promo clip, characterizing it as a trivialization of the holocaust. It’s the race for clicks!

yeah, saw the same over here. It's pretty funny, Rammstein have been around for so long and people still are so eager to jump through their hoops.

The video is pretty crazy in terms of references, hints and parodies. If you like to overthink, there's a ton in there to dissect. And of course there's the lyrics to the song, which are ambiguous as ever. And yeah, Till singing lines like "Germany, I just can't give you my love" during those Nazi scenes kind of conflict with the allegations of trivialization, but people see what they want to see.

It's a decent song but for a band that was on hiatus for a long time it's not exactly breaking any new ground as it feels a little old like it could have come off any of their older albums. It looks like they put more effort into the video.

What is wrong with keeping an old sound? I like that rather than bands that try to do different sounds and come out lame.

Nothing wrong with sticking with the old sound. I don't expect them to go Linkin Park and go from metal to pop. I feel the video is taking all the attention away from the actual song that is not their best material musically. That said it's just the first single as the album could have some better songs.

the song itself is indeed nothing special, but the lyrics are absolutely brilliant. As is the video, obviously.

I love the song, and have had it on replay pretty steadily (could just be my Rammstein-starved ears doing the talking). It’s a great blend between their newer material and the older, more electronic focused stuff.

And yeah, the various references to German history wizzing by the screen in this video are pretty plentiful and interesting. See the article below:

This might be my favourite album of his outside of his Strapping Young Lad days:

It's probably his most varied album too. But is like a gospel / disney / progressive metal hybrid.

Why? is probably my favourite song too:

I tried to get into this album, but just couldn't. I'm a huge Devin Townsend fan, but the last couple of albums including this one just didn't grab me at all. I appreciate the technical mastery in them, but I couldn't tell you a single song that stuck with me. I consider Addicted! and Epicloud absolute masterpieces, and Kingdom might be one of the best songs ever created IMO

After going down the Devin rabbit hole for the hundredth time, I really enjoyed seeing this vocal coach lose her #### watching Kingdom for the first time
