Other than metric I don’t know much of the other artists music but I do recognize most of the names and for that alone I’d classify this as a decent line up.
I feel like Feist was unavoidable about a decade ago once she got that iPod commercial. Maybe you didn't know who it was, but you almost had to have heard the 1234 song.

That song was also on The Office and Sesame Street. She's one of the bigger names ever to come out of Calgary.
“This year we have an incredible lineup that will make each day at the Coca-Cola Stage unforgettable,” Natasha Mandrusiak, entertainment coordinator at the Calgary Stampede, said in a release.
Rumors are - there will be a new Coca-Cola stage next year, possibly a 10,000 seat below grade amphitheater, maybe where Big 4 Building is, or over by the Indian Village.

I was wondering if this would be the last year for the Coke stage in its current form, or if they'd try to get one more year out of it (it seems like most of the major construction on the BMO Centre and 17th Ave extension won't begin until after next year's Stampede).
I was looking at the map to figure out where a good replacement location would be, and there really isn't any good spot that wouldn't be taking away from something else. Also, one thing that's nice about the current location is that it's surrounded by grass and not just a bunch of asphalt.
The former Indian Village site is probably the best location. It's much larger than the current Coke Stage area and it's off the main traffic routes so the crowds won't clog up the pathways for people just trying to get around the park like can happen with the Coke Stage crowds now. The only potential negative for that location is that it's very close to the Grandstand, so I don't know if the noise from one would be a problem for the other.
Long-term, I have long believed that a large amphitheatre like the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto would be an excellent replacement for the Saddledome. Obviously, something like that couldn't be built until the new arena is built.

As mentioned, former IV site would be a good spot...Big Four isn't coming down any time soon. Stampede has put a bunch of $ into that old curling rink, both making it into the Roadhouse, and with them redoing the old dining room/lounge this year.

Despite threatening grey skies, Calgarians and visitors came out in full force for day one of the Calgary Stampede breaking the single day attendance record.
Clad in western hats, boots and bandanas 127,777 people stomped through the Stampede gates, breaking the previous record of 122,403 last year and 115,235 in 2017.
What in the actual f***? Those little donuts are NOT there this year
Half my reasoning for showing up on the grounds was stuffing my face of that sweet doughy goodness. My night was ruined!!
*flips table*
Haha, the rage is palatable. My g/f was borderline devastated. Got down there and no where to be found. Even had to inquire at the visitor center to confirm. She does a PSA on FB and the thread/outrage continues in to today.
So I can only assume Netflix is a sponsor this year? My God, Stranger Things stuff everywhere. Rides, food, benches......
I was just going to assume Scorch was drunk out of his mind when he was looking, but is this actually the case? Did a google a found a 2018 article on 50th anniversary of mini donuts at stampede, so seems strange if they aren’t available now.
