Even if he could just play as an average NHL goalie consistently, would do a lot to win back trust of the fans, teammates and organization.

I'd settle for good goaltending for a postseason.

So Markstrom has delivered, what, 4 good games this year?
As much as people are pissed at Kadri, etc... this guy has SINGLE HANDEDLY sunk this team from pretty much day 1. Not to mention how he tanked our playoffs last year.
GTFO Markstrom you garbage goalie, 1 good season with crap all around it. Go cash your $6 million somewhere else. Any chance he can develop some allergies to his equipment??
I would rather have broken down Mike Smith in net than this awful goalie.

Fixed - he is a garbage goalie, can't comment on him as a person.

It's got to the point where I'm generally terrified anytime the opposition has possession in the Flames end that they get a shot on net because it seems like a lot of them just go in on Markstrom regardless of the difficulty of the shot. Kind of like Rittich and Hiller were in their last games as a Flame. It's pretty shocking that a goaltender can go from Vezina caliber to ECHL caliber in a calendar year.

4.00 GAA in his last three starts.
Guess it’s a 5-4 league now.

Just a terrible season, and it is beginning to feel like he might be done as an NHL caliber goalie. I have no ill will towards the guy and I am sure he is disappointed and concerned about his own performances. Even when it looked like he was turning it around, it was just relative to rest of the season. The bar was so low, that playing just "OK" seemed awesome.
Anyway, maybe this season is just a down year, but I suspect not. If possible, the team should try to move on from him.

What's his trade value, anyway? Is it even positive or would you have to give up a second rounder to get rid of him?

Jack Campbell having a worse save % makes me feel a smidge better. 0.886 for Campbell, 0.889 for Markstrom.

It's negative IMO, but I don't think you sell low on him. Better off seeing if he can bounce back next year and at least put up average numbers.
If the plan is to bring up Wolf, then I think you move Vladar since Sutter doesn't seem to trust him. He's at a decent cap number but the return for goalies isn't great at the best of times.

Markstrom completely destroyed the season. Don't know how he mentally comes back from this one. Guy should feel shame.

That's actually true. He didn't come back from that so I unfortunately don't see him coming back from this.
