That’s how people noticed he may be an NHLer

What's not always a given?

Who said anything about any path being a given?

Draft picks from 2000-2009. If anything, Bingo is being quite positive.

Never get overly excited nor overly depressed about prospects until they play in the AHL or the NHL. It’s a big jump from other leagues to both. Let’s see how Stromgren does before writing him off. This reaction is the opposite to Rory Kerins. Too much hype over a player rather than not enough. Let’s see what we have here before hanging the “wasted pick” label on Stromgren.

As always, fingers crossed. And speaking of Rory Kerins, what’s the word on him these days?

Injured. But spotted practicing in a blue jersey with the Wranglers.

Good for him in getting a contract. We need a LW replacement with Pelletier gone. Hopefully he can make an impact in the middle 6 (assuming that is where he is going to be in the future).

I think it's rather surprising that almost two thirds of players with more than 99 games played are drafted between rounds 2 and 7.

4th round picks are surprisingly valuable based on that graphic.
It's also somewhat funny that the 6th round picks are better than the 5th round picks. Though with the Flames, that's definitely true.

I've always thought this is due somewhat to teams being more willing to take risks in the later rounds versus sticking to a plan and following their board.
