Has there been a worse defending Superbowl Champion than the Rams? Just got their ass handed to them by Colt McCoy and a team who was looking like they were about to quit on their coach.
Took them less than a year to become an afterthought in that market.
Everyone got a chunk of Kronke’s money. McVay, an already previously rapidly declining Stafford, and Donald, all got a SB bonus in the form of a future multi year salary, so conditions ripe for complacency.
49ers division to lose, Seahawks didn’t look great in Munich, and while still have half the season, they aren’t likely to surprise anyone now in the back half…though they do have a decent schedule.
That catch on the 4th and 18 is a total flub by the bills defender. Did he think that he needed to make a catch to have them win the game? All he had to do was rip through the ball and the game was pretty much over.
The AFC West only produced two playoff teams last season so the Broncos and Chargers are still pretty well in the same state they were last season. It's the Raiders that have totally bombed.
Still feel like the Bills are a solid team but at this time, they cant close out games and Allen has been trying to do too much. they need to wake up, i think they felt the division was theirs no problem, not the case. Also nice to see Dak "i seldom beat a good team" Prescott and the cowboys fail against a very average at best GB team.
It's funny how the final drive worked for them, but Josh was fine taking the checkdowns and runs right up to the red zone, and then once in the red zone he forces back to back passes trying to win, the second one he had a wide open Singletary in the flat that probably picks up 10 yards. Besides getting his mechanics right the biggest thing he had done to make himself into the player he is now is being more disciplined. Of late he's reverted back to trying to do too much, and it's cost them. They still have probably the best roster in the league, and they are still getting Tre White back which will be huge, so they are still in good shape. But they need Josh to dial back the hero ball.

Still pretty choked about yesterday. Pretty unfathomable how many unforced errors the Vikings needed to win that game. Allen needs to stop the hero ball and start working the intermediates more. And for God sakes run the damn ball. If they can't smash Cleveland like Miami did I don't know anymore. Also need the defense to finally get healthy. If Milano or Edmunds don't play together the defense collapses. Really need Tre back as well. Maybe Jefferson still goes off yesterday but I bet Tre knocks that ball down rather than going for pointless glory.
I know there are numerous recent examples of Super Bowl teams going into the dumps for multiple games so hopefully that is the case here.

2021 Rams - Lost 3 in a row, weeks 9-12
2020 Bucs - Lost 3 of 4, weeks 9-12
2019 Chiefs - Lost 4 of 6, weeks 5-10
So it's not the end of the world. But the Bills are in danger of losing the division, which would put them on the road for all three games, and on course for the Chiefs again in the divisional round.

#Raiders owner Mark Davis on HC Josh McDaniels, via

: “I like Josh. I think he’s doing a fantastic job. That’s why I hired him. We did an exhaustive search and found the person we believe is going to bring the Raiders to greatness.”
Josh Allen still has those Farve like wild tendencies in his game. It looks similar to what Mahomes had last year where rather then take what was there he would force bad throws. So it is a bit of a balance to learn not to take some of those risks when you have bigger leads, but still be able to have that improbable play making for when it's needed.
At some point in a 3 or 4 game playoff run a game will go off script and teams need the QB to step up and make big plays to get them back in a game. We've seen Allen make great plays against K.C and Baltimore to get his teams those wins. But these mid season losses can be what makes you go back to K.C or Baltimore to do it again in the playoffs vs making them come to your house.
In a 17 game season there are let down spots for everyone. KC and Baltimore still have all 3 Division road games to play so I suspect there's a surprise loss or two for both of them somewhere. But the Bill's at this point can maybe afford 1 more L or they could be the 3 seed or a wild card team.

Eagles defence kinda getting shredded by the high powered Washington offence so far
If you're a Chiefs, Dolphins, Vikings, or Niners fan, you have to be loving what you're seeing tonight. Eagles getting somewhat exposed as an above average team that benifitted from an easy schedule. Combine that with the Bills not being able to avoid finding ways to lose, and the SB is much more wide open than it seemed a couple weeks ago.
