Have you seen how much 3DS systems are worth?! Nevermind if they are new.
Just looked it up. That's insane what people are paying for older consoles.
I just went looking for my old DS, and tried turning it on after 9 years of it sitting idle. Crazy it turned on without me needing to recharge the battery.
I love the Switch, it has fantastic games, but I really wish they would do a big update on the hardware. It wasn't even that great when it first released, and 6 years later, it's really showing it's age.
It's fine for all the 2D sprite games I love, but man, you can really feel the system's limitations when playing games like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3, and most likely you'll feel it playing the new Zelda game. It's a shame, because the games are still epic, it just could be so much better if it had better hardware to work on.
If anyone has a gaming PC with decent spec, up-res'd switch games on Citra look pretty goergeous. Native 4K rendering with steadier frameeates.
So says someone who bought a second switch for the OLED haha

Citra is the 3DS emulator. For Switch you want either Yuzu or Ryujinx, both can run pretty much any Switch game with no issue at this point. Overall Yuzu is more stable, but there are a few games that Ryujinx runs better
^ After the last video a few weeks ago, I was a little bit concerned that there was too much emphasis on building tech by using the "fuse" ability. Sure, they were just showing it off, but it felt like a lot of fusing and building.
But THIS trailer has me so ready for it. I'm a grown-ass man, not a hardcore gamer or anything, but I am very excited for this.

I tried to post it when they were available but there didn't seem to be much interest here. Lbabinz on twitter is the person you want to keep an eye out on as we get closer to the release date.

Is this a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild or how does that work?
I haven't played it yet and just wondering if I need to start there or not.

It is, but the story in these games really isn't the main draw. It's more about the journey, the gameplay, the emergent open world, that kind of thing. Literally the first quest you receive after getting out of the tutorial area is "Go Beat the Final Boss" -- and you can go try, if you want! You'll probably die, but that kind of sums up the whole point of the game -- it's up to you to figure everything out. That whole "just figure out a way to do it, we don't really care" attitude extends to everything, the exploration, combat, puzzles, progression... it's brilliant and there's nothing else really like it.
If you have a Switch and haven't played Breath of the Wild, it's as essential a game as there's ever been. But I don't think playing it before hand will be necessary to enjoy this one.
