Lovie Smith literally just got hired last summer lol. I mean, unique circumstances, I guess, but to think we'll only see fresh faces and no re-treads anymore is unlikely. Situations like the Panthers, where they badly whiffed on a fresh face, will always exist and that's where retreads will get a chance.

As a Chargers fan, Staley needs to go, he got bailed out yesterday but what a stupid gamble and he makes many of them. Chargers have a hard enough time to "not charger", they dont need a coach making these types of calls.

Yeah just make it two hand touch on the QB for the sack if you basically aren't allowed to take them to the ground. Absolutely horrific how bad it's getting.

It’s causing huge swings in these games. Obviously Atlanta got screwed yesterday, tonight KC gives up a field goal and would’ve had much better field position with a lot of time left on the clock before half.
Beyond that, it kills a big part of the game. Jones makes a great play, forces and recovers a fumble and that’s all reversed. Just killing a big piece of the game.
It's also 2022, call the ref from New York and overrule stuff like that and the Brady nonsense yesterday. Gonna be tough to convince people to keep gambling when stuff like that keeps happening.

The most hilarious part is the penalty is, allegedly, about player safety, yet they've already let a clearly concussed Tua play this season. As a longtime NBA fan I agree, league feels more like the NBA every week.
