Had a situation remind me that it's been a long, long time since I listened to some Meatloaf...so now I've got Bat out of Hell going, with Bat out of Hell II queued up.

The first minute and a half of the song Bat Out of Hell has no repeating parts, I've never seen anything else like it in popular music, it's like they found a way to turn cocaine directly into music.
Grandaddy's epic album "The Sophtware Slump" came out 20 years ago today.
That makes me feel so old

I hate to revisit old music so often, but after the living and watching what occurred the last week or two in the States, I have to go back to this classic. It really needs deep consideration.
I have to be honest, I weep every time the line "As I walk on, through troubling times, my spirit gets so downhearted sometimes. So where are the strong? And who are the trusted? And where is the harmony?"
There are very few songs that reach me like this one does. I hope that anyone seeing this post just stops for a moment and listens to this song. We all need a dose of these thoughts in our lives.
