Barrie's ratings this year aren't fantastic but I know the sim likes him. Thinking I'll pair him with McDonagh, whose 90 DF rating should more than make up for Barrie's... not-90.

Sekera - Stecher

Not bad, for now.

Gambrell is a solid young guy.

You don't though, you traded him to Calgary first, and now traded back for him. So in the big scheme he was always with you, I don't think he ever played a game for the Flames.

You made this deal on 05/23:

[Trade] NYI trade Staal, Foligno, Stephenson, and $3.85M to CGY for Wolf, 2nd, and 3rd

And then made the new deal on 06/14:

Eric Staal and $1.5 million to NYI for Riley Sheahan, a 3rd and a 3 4ths

So you just net Eric Staal out of that trade, and that's really just the cost of Eric Staal not being on your roster for a month.
