The truly sad thing here is, nothing will change for PoC in the US. It's pretty frustrating to even think about.

Helps the narrative that all blacks are criminals that did something to deserve what ever happened to them, makes it a lot easier to get the murdering cop downtown negligent homicide (our manslaughter) and a non custodial sentence

I wouldn't want to be a police chief in any major US city tomorrow. The lawsuits against Twitter are going to be huge.

This spreading nationally could be the thing that topples their government. Minneaplois has gone next level. Also, so many people of any color in those riots . Its not just African Americans.

She always eventually breaks down in these phone calls and talks about how terrified she was that my brother or I would have a run-in with the police and not come home. I've had a few text convos with friends and cousins tonight for reassurances that they're not going out tonight to throw rocks at anybody.
I'm maybe too close to this issue to comment with my head on straight. But if the question is whether or not black Americans have the right to be outraged, rest assured we are in a perpetual state of outrage to the point of tears that this keeps happening over and over again.

I don't think you overreacted in the slightest. You are 100% correct in everything you have said

Just found out thats a direct quote from the old racist Miami mayor from the 60s when their riot happened. Trump can't even make his own racist quotes. He pays homage to his forefathers.
Also, Twitter blocked that tweet.

Wow I genuinely cannot believe how many people on Twitter have no idea how the First Amendment works...
What Trump did on May 28 is a blatant violation of the First Amendment
What Twitter did on May 28 is perfectly within the guidelines of the First Amendment

Looks like the Minneapolis riot is dispersing now that the NG has staged and is moving in. Sounds like a lot of rounds being fired, but hopefully non-lethal.

It should be clarified that this statement is true because Twitter literally cannot violate the First Amendment, by definition.
Twitter clearly leans left and Jack Dorsey can censor whatever Trump tweets he wants, with very little recourse for Trump. To this end, Twitter has taken many actions that firmly establish their left-leaning nature in terms of blocks and suspensions in responses to tirades and threats from non-politicians.
What Twitter did on May 28 is within the guidelines of Jack Dorsey and that's the only thing that matters - which is essentially what he just tweeted.

CNN crew arrested live.
Clearly presented their press credentials, were asking where the police wanted them to move to but somehow got arrested for refusing to move. CNN was polite, put up no resistant, and were clearly willing to work with the police to not cause interference. Won’t help that the reporter was black. Absolutely despicable action by the police (State Police in this case).

I'm not sure how reliable the reporting is on this but apparently the cop and victim worked overlapping shifts together at a club as security.

Charging the cop with murder immediately would have almost certainly prevented this, and yet here we are two nights later and it still hasn't happened. The Minneapolis DA is letting this get worse, the evidence of the murder is pretty overwhelming with the tape, surely avoiding having the police union hate you isn't worth burning the city down.
