Even last year in Royal Oak there was a large swath of street lights that were out on the bus route & it took close to 7-8 weeks for it to be fixed, with a couple follow-up calls after we reported it to 311 by phone & online.

Just seems to be the city check, confirm & then repair process has a number of steps....

What's the deal with the SETWAY? Why is there not any consideration for improving the existing routes while the larger plan is in whatever study it is currently in?

The SEBRT and the local expresses are getting slower and slower daily. It is faster to travel from my house in Copperfield via the 153 to Sommerset and take the train downtown then it is to travel via the 153 to the 302 at rush hour.

SETWAY needs funding. The good thing though is that the new Glenmore Ogden interchange ($105m) will have a huge benefit to the SE BRT. The nature of the SE is a lot of geographic barriers and fragmented road patterns. It's lots of money to create dedicated, uninterrupted space for buses.

Enmax replaces streetlights for the City. They certainly were setback in their catch up plans for streetlight replacement by the flood - but should be getting back on track.

I am amazed how slow it has gotten. Easily 10-15 minutes slower on a good day.

Of course, maybe I am just taking the bus at different times now.

I did a little looking, well very little actually, but is there a listing anywhere of which Bow River ped bridges are currently usable? As in, have had their approaches repaired after flooding.
TIA

Hey maybe you have an idea of why the city hasn't paved 210 Ave before starting construction on the 22x/Macleod trail overpass? It's literally the only other possible route to exit Silverado other than 22x.

It's going to be an absolute nightmare if they don't pave that thing before more closures happen.

I've been talking to Transportation about this intersection and roadway. Should have some answers soon.

210 ave is driving me nuts(no pun intended).
Its been under construction for what seems forever. Its become a non stop fishing hole for the CPS... The city of Calgary calls the work an upgrade, but took a free flowing 110 km/hr freeway, reduced it to 60 while they move one pebble a day, and then will finish it up with a set of lights that will be never synched to the intersections to the north... Some upgrade.
Why is that section of Macloed that is 3 lanes that was once 110 km now 80, when 16th ave ne with 2 lanes is 90?....

210 avenue? Mah gawd, it has probably taken so long for construction because it takes the crew a whole day to drive there.

Ditto!... What make the journey so long is trumbling along at silly low speed limits within the City.

There seems to be a severe latte shortage down there. I didn't see anyone carrying one, it was disorienting.
