Hopefully police are onsite handing out tickets and arrests as needed.

So were they blocking the highway or simply using it?

Edmonton had a bunch of trucks slowly ride down the Henday, they drove six across so you couldn't pass. It caused hours of delays. It really was no different except for people who want to argue semantics but the purpose was exactly the same as was the outcome.

My whole view on most activism is pretty low. I'm a reasonably accomplished person in the public affairs/lobbyism field, and I know that most change comes about through solid knowledge of the issues, and a slow, slow, slow campaign that almost always only results in either mitigation or soft wins.

Activists just like the thrill of the moment. Narcissists.

Might be risky. In Halifax, these morons were even picking fights with cyclists.

Talk about comically missing the point.

Were any laws broken?

I seriously ask because i dont know if it is illegal to drive slowly, but for sure linking arms and blocking anything from moving on a roadway is.

That made me laugh out loud. The woman in the plaid cloak (??) actually lunged at the cyclist. Great optics, climate activists.

I saw that, not enough face palms in the world. Arguing with the woman that rides her bike every day. Yup, that's gonna win friends and influence people.

I'll still plan to ride by, I doubt they are planning to block the pathway under the 10th street bridge.

That exchange is really something else.

On the side, I do like it when genuinely dumb people say dumb things, but make that "like duh" face. Like we are all agreeing that lady on the bike should have "saved all week and taken the bus...or wanted to be late for work...or..."

ugh.

I do love the "your future's over, how old are you?" move though.

Screw that old lady, she's already dead anyway.

So much third person embarrassment from that young lady yelling at the cyclist. The older woman with her should be even more embarrassed. These activists are clowns.
