The first monkey commercial was "game" where they asked you to pick the kind of sub they don't sell. There was a picture of a meatball, turkey meat, and the monkey. I remember joking that I was going to go into Subway and ask for a monkey sub.
After that he has been in all the commercials.

Don't know if you guys have heard this one, but the radio commercials with the "Bouclair Home" guy drives me absolutely nuts.
"Get ready everyone, Santa's comin' to town and he's gonna deck your halls and glam your walls...... SO glamourous, so fabulous, OHHH Santa, who knew you were so HAWT, so fashionable, so good at accessorizing"
*Shudder*

Mariah Carey for Jenny Craig.
I don't even know where to begin with that travesty. I usually begin by flipping channels....

The McDonald's fine dining commercial is so dumb.
If you set the table with two big macs and fries like that, the food will get cold!

Toyota's "Epic reliability" bullshot.
I cringe every time some business speak meathead uses the word Epic to describe their crummy product.

There is a hilarious female hair remover commerical on right now. I won't even say I can't stand it because it is too funny! All I can think of is the Simpsons clip with the Lady Krusty Mustache Removal.
Johnny Unitas: So, what do you think of the Lady Krusty Mustache Removal System now, Angelique?
Model: It's Krusteriffic, Johnny Unitas. But is my upper lip supposed to bleed like this?
Johnny Unitas: Probably.

The Scotiabank ad where the couple are talking to a financial advisor that the bank sent them money by accident. This commercial implies two themes:
a) They are stupid enough to think the bank sent them money and could not determine it was a transfer from their own accounts
b) They schedule a formal appointment to discuss the matter
In my eyes these two items are mutually exclusive. No one can be that dumb but still meet with the bank to discuss it.

Scotiabank ad's should be given the almighty banhammer altogether.
Their stupid f%&*ing slogan "your richer than you think!" translation you ask?
"Hi Mr Customer, here at Scotiabank we realize that you have zero clue on handling your finances and are incompetent at best. Therefore please let us shove our derogatory slogan down your throat while we hold your hands into opening a bank account, mortgage & and any other bank service we can manage to sell you!"

It's incredible how awful advertising is these days. It seems the a great number of big companies are way too effin lazy or trying to be too 'dumbed down', so they put out crap that just makes me shake their head.
Toyota is the worst in this. EPIC RELIABILITY! Seriously? I don't want to buy crap from you since you're using that word and phrase in that dumb of a sense.

Those Boston Pizza Pasta Tuesday commercials really grind my gears....mostly because of how the guy says "Paesta", and that he says it about 10 times.

Nevertheless, those commercials go way beyond suggesting people aren't good with handling their finances.
It simply suggests all their customers are just plain ######ed, in all aspects of life.
I am so offended by how stupid they think the general public is, I wouldn't bank there on principle.
It shows a complete lack of respect for Canadians as a whole.
Suggesting that people need help with money matters isn't new. Suggesting they can barely tie their own shows and have an IQ of 72 is ####ing stupid. Bad, bad advertising.
