Quantity over quality. Keep cranking it out and hope people will talk about the 5-10% of it that is actually funny
He has a lot of raw comedic talent but I don’t think he has the self awareness and market awareness to distinguish between what will and what won’t work. I suspect he thinks he may be ‘being funny’, but not truly sure, and then actually finds out after the fact. Unlike guys who meticulously hone their craft. I don’t see that from him

I dont necessarily disagree, but Adam Sandler owns that title.
I can at least respect Sandler because he flat out admitted it and when placed in serious roles has shown that he has talent but is openly willing to squander that talent in exchange for an easy paycheque.
I can respect that.

My favourite quote of all time that ties in with that, from Michael Caine of his role in Jaws: The Revenge
"I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific."

Uncut Gems was an Oscar worthy performance but there's no money in those roles and the reality is that he makes millions over millions more just to do voice for a Hotel Transylvania movie. I would imagine his children's kids will be much better off for him taking the lucrative over artistic route.

Was Uncut Gems not a part of his Netflix deal? Seems like a good way to balance the financial reward through aggregation. He just signed another 4 movie deal at the start of the year for a paltry $275 million.
My wife wasn't a fan of the dubbing (I've heard the subtitled version is 'easier'), but I thought everything else about the show made the dubbed dialogue easy enough to over look... Probably a case where there's enough to hold your attention, that you don't end up 'seeing' it.
Season 3 drops on June 27th...
