I think the trailer said sept 4th.

Netflix has lowered my expecations for TV release schedules, 1 year feels like such a fast turnaround on season 2 in the streaming era.

I thought the first 3 episodes were perfect. An episode for huey to stretch his wings ( and fall flat on its face) and an episode that explores the world of Vaught does a lot for character and world-building, which is really needed to elevate this show above the typical superhero schlock Fest. The third episode provided the big action we all tune in for, and because of the work done in the previous episodes, the action scenes were also able to develop the characters and plot instead of just being eye candy.

Gus Fring and stormfront are great additions, they really needed an unflinching face for Vought and stormfront is such a wildcard I cant wait to see where they go with her. They probably weren't thinking there would be 3+ months of race riots in Portland when they decided to make the super "woke" Portlander also a murderous racist. I thought they were done with The Deep but now hes becoming on of the most intriguing characters.

I loved the first season, but it was an unpolished gem in a lot of ways, now with a bigger budget and more polish, they look to be on course to realize their potential this season and for many seasons

I’m just waiting for Homelander to laser beam all of Voughts board of directors.

You can tell he’s about to snap into realizing he can just take over the god damned world himself.

I love that homelanders great internal struggle is that he wants to and could very easily rule the world, but he hates the idea of actually having to run it.

This show is great so far this season. I can't believe they even managed to give the Deep another engaging storyline. I also really like how they've sidelined Starlight's feminism with seemingly more legit feminism.

The Homelander milk thing is so stomach turning.

Every character in this show seems to have their own storyline and they're all great. It's quite a feat really. The cast is huge, but none of them seem unnecessary.

Every time I see the Deep's gills it freaks me out. It freaks me out even MORE after watching the scene where the girl he picked up sticks her hands in them.

I'm with Homelander. Disgusting.

Despite Homelander's dark side, still comes away with the best comedic moments as well:

"It's not personal. We'll always be friends, etc....attaboy."

"We've got A-Train, who is a black man. We have Black Noir, he, uh, doesn't identify with any race, really, so they're all covered..."

Ep 5 was fantastic. I am becoming less of a fan of Starlight, she doesn't seem to be doing much.

Just finished episode 4. Those doppelganger scenes were so cringey.

Just re-watched the plane scene, where Homelander just leaves everyone on board:

Many that is tense. So well written too. Love the nods to other comic book sources about how the physics of steering a plane in real life just don't work.
Crazy how Homelander just does not care. The only time he seems concerned is when he thinks that Maeve might not go along with his plan to ensure there are no witnesses.
