I would hate to play Arizona in the playoffs. I just imagine it being an awful series as a fan.

The Flames were miles better playing with the lead in the third, Forbort is making a big difference.

That was a tough win. Yotes played like a desperate team in the 2nd and 3rd, but good job by the Flames to lock it down during the last 5 minutes there.
We got very lucky on a couple of plays in the 3rd, but found a way to grind out the win. Another huge 2 points. Only 1 back of Edmonton and 3 back of Vegas now. 1st place in the division is within reach!

Still lots of games to go but ladies and gentlemen... I think we're making the Playoffs!!
Question now is can we pass Edmonton and/or Vegas for home ice in at least the First Round?

It wasn't pretty but it was enough. Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Mangiapane, Brodie, Giordano, Forbort, and Andersson were strong.

Negative Nancy time.
Despite his stat line, I didn't think Talbot looked that great, bobbled a number of saves and struggled with some routine saves.
Though I like his fundamentals. He's never swimming or over committing, and he never loses his net. He just seems like a guy who needs more work.

Really? Yeah, Talbot was good, but I think this was a consummate team win. The Flsmes owned the first half, sagged a bit in the second, but responded very well in the third against a desperate team.
