I nominate Fishbone, and Jason & The Scorchers.

Flaming Lips. Ween.

Fishbone was great when I saw them.

Out of the ones on their list:

Tool was defintiely one of the best shows I have been to.

Foo Fighters are also great. Better live than recorded. Same with Queens of the Stone Age.

Metallica was great, but both times I saw them, the concerts were 100% identical (even things that seemed impromptu were re-created), so it felt kind of cheap the 2nd time.

My Morning Jacket... I didn't think they were special. Saw them at a festival and don't really know their music though.

Pearl Jam... I like their music, so it was good. But there was nothing about them live that I think would make someone like them who didn't already.

Two of my favourites that I wouldn't expect to see on there (and aren't) are Ween and Suicidal Tendencies. They put on good shows. DRI was also really good.

Silversun Pickups also put on a decent show.... well, at least the singer and drummer.

It's criminal that Roger Waters isn't on the list.

A Rolling Stone list that is absolutely terrible? Colour me shocked. I love RATM and saw them live in 2007, but how are they top 10 when they haven't played a show in more than a year?

Some of my favourite live acts that didn't make this illustrious list: moe. avett brothers, widespread panic, bela fleck and the flecktones, j. cole and pretty lights

But hey, not everyone can be as talented and creative as Taylor Swift.

I think RHCP should be higher, amazing live band and great shows all 3 times I have seen them! Foo Fighters also I feel should be higher IMO!

Saw them the first time in 1986 and almost every time since. Just a great live show every time.

Radiohead, saw them before they became wankers, when they toured for The Bends.

Solid show.

Also shout out to Sam Roberts, saw him years ago in Old Mac Hall. Solid set and great energy.

That being said, Bruce as number one is pretty hard to argue with. The guy just brings it every night.

Yeah I second Sam Roberts. Saw him at the Jub last year and man was it a great show. Music was fantastic and he's got a tonne of energy for a tiny guy.

Speaking of little guys with a lot of energy, I saw The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion several years ago in Victoria and he was really good. He has an interesting stage presence.... very intense guy.

G Love and the Special Sauce was fun.

There was a lot of banter and crowd interaction/participating.

I never saw them personally, but the Flaming Lips always seem to put on good shows from what I heard.

Disappointing to only see a few EDM/Electronic artists on there.

Also, where the hell is Gwar?

Established/older music fans find EDM to be alien and frightening, they give it some credit so they don't seem like old fuddy-duddies, but not so much that they have to think about too hard.

Arcade Fire has great energy, but the singer is always out of breath and off-key.

Jagger has destroyed his voice by singing improperly for years and currently sounds terrible. Richards also sounds terrible now.

Do Metallica fans know that Lars is the worst drummer in Metal?

e: I'm beginning to realize why I only go to EDM and Metal shows now.

Apparently I have lived a sheltered life. Only ones I have seen are Leonard Cohen (AWESOME show) and Green Day (wasn't incredibly impressed, but not bad).

Thought TOOL should have been much much higher. But then again, I've never seen Skrillex or Florence and the Machine or PHISH (WTF?).

There should be an honorable mention to GWAR but I digress as their Schtick isn't everyones favorite.

EDIT: TOOL should definitely be ahead of Muse as well.

That is a BAAAAAD list, and nice youtube links RS. Is this some hacky small mag now?

Iron Maiden not in top 5? not on list or honorable mention? Very far off
