Very happy with the result.

A bit concerned about the shabby play here and there (and I didn't see the first 3 minutes!). At one point the Avs were running the Flames absolutely ragged and hemming them in until someone took a penalty and the Flames PK took over. Looked both before and after like a tire fire.

The PP seems to be trying two things: to play faster and to think less. But they still seem to be overthinking and getting ahead of the play too often. And for gosh sakes - will *someone* just stop and stand 5 feet in front of the net? They'd have score numerous times, but they keep trying the cross-seam pass when there's traffic in the way.

Three days of practice ought to clean that up.

And thanks to Bill Peters - a REAL coach it seems!! (Banish the thoughts of GG and no timeouts, no line changes or in-game flexibility.) Love Peters' trust of the young guys in ALL situations - he gives them the best chance to succeed that way and that is excellent!!

Johnny gets one after a bit of a tough game for him. I'm sure he's pretty pleased too.

Great game by the Flames.

Very composed after that time out

Good job by Rittich by battling all night. Letting in 2 early goals could rattle some goalies.

Ritter seems very calm no matter the situation.

Flames never said die and battled every second. It's everything we've wanted since Hartley, except now we might have the talent to do something with it

Brodie almost cost them a win but that timeout sure changed things. Give Riitich the starting job. Smith sucks imo.

Brodie may not have been perfect on either of the goals against, but he didn't "almost cost the a win".

The first goal against was as much on the forward for a soft play along the wall followed by poor coverage in the slot, which forced Rittich to pick his poison on the rebound. MacKinnon was on a 4 game goal scoring streak, sometimes you tip your hat off to a great player who's in the zone, and part of being in the zone is losing coverage.

The second goal was a bad bounce. 99/100 times that doesn't happen.

Rittich is an NHL goalie. He showed as much even last year. Yeah, he crapped the bed when the entire season was put on his shoulders, but that was one hell of a situation for a young goalie to be put in, and not everyone is ready to run with the ball in that situation. He's back to showing that same composure we loved him for as a backup last year.

I disagree Brodie was not ready to start the game he had a brain fart. Not the first time he's done that.

Yeah, Lindholm had Czarnik all night. He did a good job of contributing despite getting out with lesser linemates tonight.

With the comparison to the never die 2014/15 version of the team, that team was winning games where they were frequently outshot, out-chanced and generally outperformed by the opposition but still seemed to pull out W’s. In the 2 comebacks by this team so far, they have unequivocally been the better team with better stats in almost all the key categories. In short, me likey.

As much flak as Brodie may or may not deserve after the two goals against, he played a solid game from the second period on and deserves credit for it

Very happy with the win! If Bennett continues to play like this, I will be more than happy to eat crow.

I do think that Dube might benefit being sent down to the AHL. I just don't think he is fully ready yet and can build a lot more confidence dominating in Stockton.

As someone who is a huge advocate of timeouts.. so glad that they took one today.

Next Game:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Bennett-Backlund-Neal
Tkachuk-Jankowski-Czarnik
Hathaway-Ryan-Frolik

I also wouldn't mind replacing Hathaway with Mangiapane.
