The ship warfare was one of my favourite parts of the AC franchise, but if I'm being honest I'd pretty much given up hope Skull and Bones would see daylight. I'm less interested than I was years ago when I played Black Flag and Rogue, but....yay, finally!
There is almost no way the game isn’t a giant turd. From what’s come out about it, it is dreadful, but they’re basically being forced to release it because of government grant contracts.
The Epic games store leaked the release date of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for PC! It said October 19, then that was removed, but not before people saw it!
Woo!

I just started playing Crosscode. How did I not know about this game? In a world of nostalgia driven gaming how is this not being talked about constantly? This rules. Granted I'm like 5 hours in.

My nephew from Montreal writes and produces shows at the outdoor fan fest stage part of big eports events, or something close to that which I don't entirely understand. He's working the 2022 LCS NA Championships in Chicago this weekend, and gave me a ticket. I had absolutely no clue what was going on, but it was a really great day. The huge crowd was incredibly involved, and loud. I had no idea these gamers are like any other sports stars or celebrities. The Canadian team Evel Geniuses lost 3 games to 2 to 100 Thieves, after being up 2-1. But apparently they still have one more chance to advance to the LCS World Championships through some huge tournament. Or something.
I expect this is my one and only post in this thread, ever, but this was a really fun and interesting event/day.

Yeah I dunno, Amy Hennig is almost 60 and hasn’t shipped a game in well over a decade. It’s a fast moving, young person’s industry — I don’t put much stock in her name alone.

there's a significant rabbit hole when going down the history of e-sports, and in relation, streaming platforms such as twitch.
with the lowering of barrier of access to publishing video and other content, its easier than ever to find a new tribe than deal with the toxic gatekeepers of old activities.
Also this may be better covered in other sports.

I don't really understand anything you are saying, but the video was really interesting. Thanks for that. I know nothing about any of this. I will learn

Marvel is so played out too. I couldn’t be less interested in that game.
buying a PS5 over here is still such a nightmare. A friend of mine was able to preorder one at one of the bigger tech store chains recently ... I tried the next day, but no dice. Almost got lucky today when PS Direct had a drop, only to find out they don't ship to Austria for some reason.
So back to waiting for drops, or for Amazon to send me an email (they've adopted a voucher system, but that seems to be random and I haven't gotten lucky yet).
Hopefully this is true for the rest of the world, that the supply chain is healing and you'll be able to get one soon.
let's hope so. I honestly haven't tried super hard these past few months, as I still had a backlog of PS4 games and generally had a "I'll get one whenever" stance ... but I thought we'd at least be past the point where you have to hunt for random drops online.
