C'mon man.
One guy plays 17 minutes a night in all situations, produces offense, has amazing metrics and possession stats.
The other guy is a 6 minute a night 4th line grinder and occasional face puncher.
Adding Ryan Reaves I would be fine with, but not for Frolik, that's just a bad idea.
Just because one team made a mistake and overpaid for him doesn't mean the Flames should do that team a favor and do the same.

Yeah i get where you are coming from. But for one im tired of this team being soft and pushed around. A few wins does not disguise that. Frolik didn't save us in december when the team was down.

Last I checked there was some great push-back from our young players vs. the Ducks this week.
Regardless, trading a 2nd line winger for a 4th line one is not a good idea no matter what spin you put on it.

Tavares if he makes it to UFA would have to consider the Flames. I'm sure Travis Hamonic will talk to him a lot. Young up and coming team, His addition makes the Flames a contender.
Trade Micheal Stone to Leafs for Kasperi Kapanen. Leafs need D and Kapanen is rotting in minors.
Buyout Brouwer with a cap hit of 1.5 mill for next 4 years.

Frolik is the kind of soldier you need on your team to win a cup. He is one of the leagues largest threats to score shorthanded and is likely the Flames best PK’er. He excels at the defensive aspect of the game.

The flames acquired Dalton Prout for this reason. I bet he's in the line up next time we see the oilers.
Can appreciate where you're coming from. The Flames could use some more physical players in their line up.

Without knowing what lead up to things, I will just say that when a team is losing as much as they are, pushing/shoving/yelling/fighting each other in practice just isnt that uncommon. Frustration leads to all sorts of that kind of stuff.

McLean on Hockey Central was talking about the Senators and all that mess has become. He said he has heard that on the list of acceptable trade destinations for Karlsson is Las Vegas. Also mentioned both Florida teams, Detroit and Dallas are in the mix IF there is a deal to be made pre TD.

This is why Kane is just too risky for the Flames. It sucks because i think he brings exactly what this team needs. He is a speedy goal scorer that can play a gritty game and is a tough customer.
The assets needed to acquire him and the Lucic like contract it will cost to retain him raise too many red flags for me
