Great value! Thought Pospisil could get twice that after his play this season. The Flames will have a ridiculous amount of cap space next year.

As a reminder: voted our 21st best prospect in this past summer's ranking.
The Josh Joorish award should now be re-named the Marty Pospisil award.

Sweet. Captured my heart as soon as he was drafted with like a billion PIMs.

Love this kid, and love it that every fan base in the league hate him.

Great young player. Exactly the type of guy we need. Size, speed, skill and sandpaper.

That is a really tidy piece of work to get that for 2 years...relatively unproven but he's been an impact player in the top 9 this year and to get the 2nd year is good work.

It was all written up at $900k. Then he drills Marchand in the face. Conroy nods, says: "let's make it an even million!"

Good to see him staying. He brings a needed element to this team.
Also good to see Conny and Co. are building this team from every angle.

Great signing. I was actually going through cap friendly today and looking at the contracts for next year and thinking: what are Pelletier, Pospisil and Kylington worth? Figured between $1.5 and $2.5 for Kylington, and maybe $1M each for the forwards. Add maybe $900k for Gilbert, and things are looking great for next year's cap.
Note: Pospisil's contract makes 15 contracts and $63.76M for next year (a little under $24M left for 8 contracts). And obviously, that will look even better after the deadline.

GOAT!

I love the timing of this. Literally the next day after getting kicked out of a game for wearing a Flames jersey.
This guy's an absolute beauty! Crazy to think I only knew of him as "one of those randos in the A that will never make the NHL." Love watching him play!

Yeah there is zero downside to this deal and possibly a good amount of upside.
Beauty.

It's a good deal. Similar to what Duehr got. It gives the player 2 years to establish himself in the league, and then either get paid, or look for another team to take a chance on him.
Hopefully it works out better than the Duehr signing. Which was supposed to be awesome as well, but turned out just okay.
