Questions for Brian Burke
I came across a prize at the pizza pig-out where I get to bring 30 people to a boardroom and basically have a 30 on 1 discussion with Brian Burke followed by a ride down to the dome to meet with the players.
Ill be inviting clients which will involve a handful of CP members (message or email me if interested).
This thread is to build a list of questions CP would like answered...
- I really want to know the status on Hartleys contract!

That's extremely cool! Congratulations. I will try to come up with a good question or two for Burke.

Here would be my question:
More and more you see successful teams built with varying roles for all four lines, with less ice for the heavyweights of the league. Has your own plan for a successful team changed in the last 10 years? Do you see a role for a "tough" guy anymore? Has the game really changed or is it optics?

What was your best offer for Cammy and why do you think it was worse than getting nothing?

My question for Brian:
What is his role (if any) with the Adirondack Flames and are the Flames management taking as active of a role in the day to day operations of the Flames then they were with the Heat or are they more hands off with this team?
Also, why was Craig Conroy removed as the GM of the AHL team when he did what looked like a decent job with getting signings and keeping a good repoire with players?
I heard many stories about Conroy going to Abbotsford and always knowing what's going on with the Heat and even scouting out some college players for them and making recommendations and always talking about them as was Burke, and this year I have heard of the Flames management at only one game and you almost hear nothing about the AHL team.
I'm just curious if they are paying as much attention to the team this year or if the distance is keeping them more out of sight, out of mind.
I know I'm not a client, but if you have an extra seat, this would be something I'd love to attend.

I asked him already if he would consider growing a 'power ponytail' at a sth luncheon this summer. He thought it was a bad idea, but I would like an update.

Ask if it seems like we have more depth now, with how the kids played in the last stretch and if the team will be looking to move some depth for draft picks this year. (Quessing he says can never have enough depth..)

Sorry, but mine is not hockey or Flames related.
Burke currently sits on the Canadian Rugby Union's Board of Directors.
I am interested in how deeply he is involved. Did he have an end goal/vision for the sport which caused him to become involved.
PS: you lucky #######.

I would be interested to know what Brian Burke thinks, in retrospect, about the Phaneuf trade and the Captaincy of Phaneuf for the Leafs, from the point of view of his old club.
Probably, someone has asked this already.

Too bad we coulnd't condition that trade out the ying yang.
Who knows, maybe Kinds take Cammy instead of Gaborik if its a 3rd with condition of winning the Cup and it would increase to a 2nd.
Hindsight is 50/50 but wouldve been nice to get the 60th pick for Cammy considering we also gave up the 36th pick for him initially.
