My hockey pool takes another hit. First it was Tampa and now it's the Peg.

I would kind of low key would have liked the Jets to go the conference finals and lose. They always pick the best player left in the draft and now they get to go just a couple picks ahead of the Flames.

Edit: oh nvm they traded their first for hayes, sucks to be ya Winnipeg

Ron MacLean suggesting we all put our eggs in one basket and cheer for the Leafs now that the other Canadian teams are out.

3 Division winners down. It's not looking like the Caps will make it a clean sweep though.

In 2006, all the higher-ranked teams in the West lost in the first round. If Dallas and Vegas can close things out, it will happen again this year.

i could never cheer for the Leafs.

the two canadian teams i would never actively cheer for are the Leafs and Edmonton... relatively indifferent to vancouver and winnipeg and wouldn't mind MTL or OTT

StL played well.. Schwartz came through with a huge effort...i remember when they were in their 1/2 season funk, wots was everyone was available except for Schwartz...

happy to see StL advance

As tough as this season ended for the Flames it was much worse for the Jets. They spent at the deadline on a pure rental , have major contract issues with Laine, Connor, Myers, Morrisey, and their home fans saw the team go 0-3 at home . Not worth the one extra playoff win

Ottawa is the only Canadian team I'm completely indifferent to.

I could never cheer for any of the other teams. My current ranking in order of my level of hatred:

1. Oilers
2. Canucks
3. Leafs
4. Jets
5. Habs

At least they were competitive

First I would actively cheer against the Leafs, this whole Canada's team in the playoffs is garbage. The Leafs are Toronto's team, and they make me want to retch.

Second with the elimination of the Jets, at least the Flames will have good company when they dine in early eliminated hell tonight.

for a team that got to the WCF last season, i'd guess that being competitive is cold comfort.

Remember when the Hockey News declared them as the odds on favorite to win the cut this year and put them on the front page of that edition.

Remember hearing Jets fans bragging about their team and how they were going to crush it? Well in the end crushed.

Flames were close bounces in overtime in 2 games, they won a game, and were dominated in 2 games. The Jets had a nice push late but got slapped around the first 2 periods tonight. Like the Flames they coughed up a 2-0 in the third but did so at home and lost with 15 seconds left in regulation.

Winnipeg was supposed to build off last year and will struggle to keep the team together next year. I think it hurts more to be a Jets fan despite one extra win and one extra night of games.

I actually don’t mind Toronto’s team. They’re fun to watch. I’m a big Marner fan.

It’s the media and their fans that sour things.

Yeah I'll start cheering for the Leafs. Any team that I cheer for loses, so that should put an end to their playoffs too.

What do you get for being "competitive"? Any prize for that?
