There's a good baseball doc on Prime called Knuckleball which is about, as you would expect, the Knuckleball pitch and pitchers - with specific attention on RA Dickey and Tim Wakefield.
It's not groundbreaking or anything but I love the knuckleball. It's one of my favorite oddities of baseball. So if you are into that - you'll like it.

Let me know when the 'Knucklepuck' documentary is out and then we'll talk.

Watched Pixie, an Irish film with Colm Meaney, Alex Baldwin and Olivia Cooke. Really enjoyed this flick, lots of English humor and suspense in a film about drugs and gangsters. Worth the watch.

On The Waterfront was on PBS last night. A classic on every level.

Just watched Antebellum on Prime. Maybe I missed something, but it totally went in a different direction than I was expecting and was the better for it. I thought it was a fantastic movie, actually, and was impressed.

I think Antebellum has some cult classic potential. I though it had quite a few pacing and structure issues, but it has the goods in few key areas:

- Memorable concept
- Top notch performance from the main actor
- Good visuals

There's a ton of better but more forgettable films in the world.

Any lethal weapon movie. Unwatchable garbage. They made how many of these movies?

Trying to watch "Radioactive", the Mdm Curie biopic with Rosemund Pike. Unfortunately it is too dry. Also the cinematography is so dark, it feels depressing to watch as well.

The thing I found the most weird is that it takes place in Paris, obviously, but everybody has British accents. Why would they do British accents in Paris?

Didn't all the Russians in 'Chernobyl' have British accents as well?

My thoughts is, that since they're portraying Europeans, and they don't want to use the native language in order to get bigger actors, avoid subtitles and such, it seems to make more sense to have British accents rather than American accents.

They really should have stopped after Terminator 2. One and two are just such a great little bundle. The Terminator could benefit from an effects modernization from someone with a restrained hand (ie: not a George Lucas) but Terminator 2 holds up effects wise so well to this day.

Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 were great. Great villain, an insane Gary Busey, Mel Gibson smoking 10 packs a day and running at a sprint for 30 miles while accurately killing bad guys.

The ultimate line

M - "God hates me"
Riggs - "Hate him back it works for me"

3 was terrible, it just didn't work, they took the edge off of Riggs.

I kind of liked 4, but that's because Jet Li was an awesome baddie in that movie, and defined that quiet guy that was awesome when he decided to do something.

Speaking of crap action movies, just watched John Wick 2. Keanu is fine but that was some ridiculous, infantile garbage.

Not in the league of Fast & Furious but still overrated.

You are incorrect. Every JW movie is perfection. It is exactly what it is meant to be.

What were you expecting after seeing John Wick? It has a goal and it executes that goal rather well. That goal is Keanu Reeves beating the #### out of bad guys.

Fight scenes, car chases, yawn. I think of all the hard and dangerous work that goes into choreographing those scenes and I'm literally bored. My eyes drift away from the screen, don't care.

And you watched part 2 after watching part 1 expecting something different?

So you watched a movie you knew you weren't going to like, and then decided to rip on it anyway?

John Wick is about one thing, really well done action sequences. That's obviously not your cup of tea.
Musicals aren't my thing, but I'm not about to go watch La La Land and then say it's lame.
