Leaving aside the semantic questions of how one develops "space laser technology on the southwest border," what does she actually envision here? A laser-beam from space that ... what ... vaporizes people crossing the border?
Or is she referring to Israel's Iron Beam? A ground-based laser designed to defend against incoming rocket attacks that is currently non-functional?
I understand that she is not a serious person, and nothing she says or does should be taken seriously, but I think it's wildly telling that the second-loudest voice in right-wing politics is such a nincompoop. And, let's be honest, the only reason anything Trump says should be taken seriously is there is a real possibility he may be able to implement his ideas ... which means that, unfortunately, MTG needs to be listened to as, if he gets in, her ability to implement her idiocy increases.
